To mold a high-resistance magnet at low temperature, including room temperature, the magnet includes magnetic powders, metallic powders having a lower hardness than the magnetic powders and a high-resistance layer, wherein the magnetic powders occupy a larger volume than the metallic powders. In particular, the high-resistance layer contains a fluorine compound and is placed between the magnetic powder and the metallic powders.

A permanent magnet rotating electric machine comprises a stator having stator windings wound round a stator iron core and a permanent magnet rotor having a plurality of inserted permanent magnets in which the polarity is alternately arranged in the peripheral direction in the rotor iron core. The rotor iron core of the permanent magnets is composed of magnetic pole pieces, auxiliary magnetic poles, and a stator yoke, and furthermore has concavities formed on the air gap face of the magnetic pole pieces of the rotor iron core of the permanent magnets, gently tilting from the central part of the magnetic poles to the end thereof. The object of the present invention is to both reduce costs and improve magnetic characteristics of rare-earth bond magnets in which magnetic material is bound with a binding agent. In order to achieve this object, magnetic characteristics of a magnet are improved by performing cold forming on rare-earth magnetic powder by itself with no resin added. Then, in order to provide strength for the magnet, a low-viscosity SiOprecursor is infiltrated and thermoset in the magnet shaped body. As a result, it is possible to obtain a rare-earth bond magnet in which magnetic characteristics are improved and costs are reduced.

Magnet using binding agent and method of manufacturing the same

A sintered magnet and a rotating machine equipped therewith are disclosed, which include: crystal grains of a ferromagnetic material consisting mainly of iron, and a fluoride compound or an oxyfluoride compound, containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal element, an alkaline earth metal element, and a rare earth element, the fluoride compound or the oxyfluoride compound being formed inside some of the crystal grains or in a part of a grain boundary part. The oxyfluoride compound or the fluoride compound contains carbon, and a grain boundary width of the ferromagnetic material is smaller than a grain boundary width of the ferromagnetic material in which the fluoride compound or the oxyfluoride compound is formed.

Sintered magnet and rotating machine equipped with the same

The sintered magnet and the rotating machine equipped with the same are disclosed. The sintered magnet includes crystal grains of a ferromagnetic material consisting mainly of iron, and a fluoride compound or oxyfluoride compound layer containing at least one element selected from an alkali metal element, an alkali earth metal element, and a rare earth element. The layer is formed inside some of the crystal grains or in a part of a grain boundary part. An oxyfluoride compound or fluoride compound layer containing carbon in a stratified form is formed on an outermost surface of the crystal grains. The fluoride compound or oxyfluoride compound layer has a concentration gradient of carbon, contains at least one light rare earth element and at least one heavy rare earth element. The heavy rare earth element has a concentration lower than that of the light rare earth element.

One end of an additional cable is connected to rotating machine terminals, namely motor input terminals of a motor case. A rotating electric machine includes a stator core of a cylindrical shape, a rotor core coaxially rotating inside the stator core, and a plurality of coils each formed by winding magnet wires using a slot formed axially in either the stator core or the rotor core, or both: it is preferable that each of the coils be split into a plurality of coil groups, that starting sections of winding of the magnet wires in one of the coil groups be wound adjacently to ending sections of winding of the magnet wires in another of the coil groups, and that the starting sections and ending sections of winding of the magnet wires in the two coil groups be connected at respective outgoing wire ends to one another, outside the slots.

A stator coil, being a rectangular coil, is wound on a salient pole, striding across a plurality of slots, while being inserted sequentially through the inlet of a predetermined slot of the stator core. The stator coil comprises two slot inserts and to be inserted into the slot; two coil ends and located outside the end of the slot; and four twist sections arranged between the slot inserts and coil ends, processed by twisting. In the twist sections, twisting is applied to ensure that the surface of the rectangular coil in the second coil end will be opposite to the surface of the rectangular coil in the first coil end. The start of winding of the rectangular coil and the end of winding of the same coil are located on the same surface. Thereby, a rotating electrical machine with the large internal dimensions without increasing the external dimensions is achieved.

A stator coil is configured of a first group of six turns of conductive wire, and a second group also of six turns, with the first group of six turns being wound on a spool, leaving a gap the same as the diameter of the conductive wire between winds. Upon completion of winding the first group, the winding is turned back, and the second group of six turns is wound in the gap, so as to be adjacent to the turns of the first group. The article is then inserted into a slot in a stator core of a stator, thereby configuring a stator coil. This provides for a rotating electrical machine and manufacturing method thereof with improved insulation resistivity regarding inverter surge voltage, and moreover high output can be obtained with a machine of comparable external dimensions with conventional machines.

A permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine that is capable of producing a higher output and is suitable for high-speed rotation. A pair of nonmagnetic portions are formed in a rotor core at opposite ends of each pole. The waveform of induced voltage and a motor voltage are adjusted based on two parameters, i.e., an angle covering minimum magnetic path portions formed by the nonmagnetic portions and a magnet width. Assuming that a circumferential pitch of teeth cores with respect to a rotor axis is &#x3c4;s (degree) and an opening angle contained by a circumferential width between radial width minimum points of the pair of magnetic path portions with respect to the rotor axis is &#x3b8; (degree), &#x3b8;&#x2248;(n+Y)&#xd7;&#x3c4;s (n: integer larger than 0) is met. Y=0.5 is set when the stator windings are wound in a distributed winding way, and Y=0.9-1.2 is set when they are wound in a concentrated winding way. The magnet forming one pole is divided into two parts, and a bridge portion is formed between the two divided magnet parts.

Permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine

A permanent magnet rotating electric machine uses no skewing under a predetermined current and voltage condition to prevent torque from decreasing and to decrease pulsation torque to make the machine less vibrating and less noisy. The permanent magnet rotating electric machine includes a stator with multi-phase stator windings and a rotor with a plurality of permanent magnets internally embedded in a rotor core. The core shape of the rotor is uniform in the depth (longitudinal) direction with no skewing in the arrangement of the permanent magnets. The permanent magnets are symmetrical with respect to the rotation direction, but irregular with respect to the depth direction, for each pole. A magnetic flux generated from the between-pole permanent magnets almost equals a magnetic flux generated from the pole-center permanent magnet.
