In a heat exchange unit, a shutter device is disposed on a vehicle front side with respect to a coolant heat exchanger to open and close a passage for traveling air directed toward the coolant heat exchanger. A blower is switchable between a first blowing state in which air flows from the vehicle front side to the vehicle rear side and a second blowing state in which air flows from the vehicle rear side to the vehicle front side. In a case where a switch that makes a vehicle travelable is in an on state, a control unit switches the blower to the second blowing state, while an open degree of the shutter device is set at a closing side from a maximum open degree of the shutter device when a temperature of the engine coolant is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature determination value.

Heat exchange unit

An on-vehicle relay device that is connected to a first on-vehicle device and a second on-vehicle device via an on-vehicle network, and relays a message transmitted from the first on-vehicle device to the second on-vehicle device, includes a processor configured to receive a permission request for transmission of a first message from the first on-vehicle device, determine whether the total of the usage rate of the bandwidth of the on-vehicle network used by at least one message already permitted to be transmitted via the on-vehicle network, and the usage rate of the bandwidth of the on-vehicle network used by the first message is equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold value, and send a reply that permits transmission of the first message, to the first on-vehicle device, when the sum is equal to or smaller than the predetermined threshold value.

Relay device, system, and method for relaying messages between vehicles

In an intake air cooling device, a heat-exchanging core portion in an intercooler has an intake-air downstream-side core portion and an intake-air upstream-side core portion located upstream of the intake-air downstream-side core portion in a flow of intake air. The intake-air downstream-side core portion is located upstream of the intake-air upstream-side core portion in a flow of a cooling fluid. The intercooler has a U-turn portion at which a flow direction of the cooling fluid turns around between the intake-air downstream-side core portion and the intake-air upstream-side core portion. A flow rate control device intermittently supplies the intercooler with a predetermined volume of the cooling fluid at a time. The predetermined volume is a value determined on basis of a volumetric capacity of a cooling fluid channel in the intake-air downstream-side core portion.

Intake air cooling device

A measurement device includes a frame member rotatably supported about a first axis line, a detection body disposed inside of the frame member and rotatably supported relative to the frame member about a second axis line, and a vane disposed on one end side of the detection body in a direction orthogonal to the second axis line and that directs the other end side of the detection body in the direction orthogonal to the second axis line toward an air flow upstream side upon receiving an air flow. The measurement device includes a wind direction sensor disposed in the detection body that detects a wind direction as a direction of the other end side of the detection body in the direction orthogonal to the second axis line, and a wind speed sensor disposed in the detection body that detects a wind speed of the air flow.

A cooling device for an automobile that includes a front opening opened in a front engine room, a first air blower arranged in the front engine room on a front side of a drive engine, and an introduction passage for guiding, toward the first air blower, air to flow from the front side of the front opening through the front opening is configured to cool the drive engine with the air flow passing from the introduction passage to the drive engine via the first air blower. The cooling device includes a duct having a first opening opened in the introduction passage and a second opening opened to rear of the drive engine in the front engine room, to form an air passage for air to flow between the first opening and the second opening.

Cooling device and cooling module

An intercooler that cools intake air supercharged into an engine by a supercharger by exchanging heat with a cooling medium includes a heat exchange portion in which heat is exchanged between the cooling medium flowing inside a channel tube and the supercharged intake air flowing outside the channel tube. The cooling medium includes a first cooling medium and a second cooling medium hotter than the first cooling medium. The channel tube includes a first cooling medium channel where the first cooling medium flows and a second cooling medium channel where the second cooling medium flows. The channel tube includes a first U-turn portion forcing a flow of the first cooling medium flowing the first cooling medium channel to make a U-turn, and a second U-turn portion forcing a flow of the second cooling medium flowing the second cooling medium channel to make a U-turn.

Intercooler

A vehicle navigation apparatus displays an expressway guide diagram indicating the names of plural exits at which a travelling vehicle can exit an expressway and the distance and estimated arrival time to each of the exits. The expressway guide diagram includes a map display for indicating a display of a surrounding-area map of an exit. When the map display is operated, the display scale of the surrounding-area map is determined so as to contain a predetermined number of representative facilities, and the surrounding-area map is displayed on a display device according to the display scale. Therefore, with respect to each exit at which the vehicle can get off the expressway, a map based on the proper display scale corresponding to the positional relationship between each exit and facilities can be displayed.

Navigation apparatus for vehicle

A separator, a pair of polarized electrodes, gaskets holding the separator and the polarized electrodes from their sides, and a pair of the collectors provided in contact with the outer surfaces of polarized electrodes and gaskets are provided in an electric double layer capacitor. The collectors are a lamination having a conductive film formed by coating a conductive resin solution containing a conductive material to at least one surface of copper foil.

Electric double layer capacitor and production method thereof

An electric double-layer capacitor has a pair of thrust plates for thrusting a stacked cell pair and a gasket for encapsulating the stacked cell pair together with the thrust plates. The thrust plate has slanted side surfaces for effecting a close contact with a packaging overcoat. The thrust plates and the mounting gasket are coupled together by an interdigitaion relationship.
