An image forming device includes a main frame having a body and a photoconductive drum which is provided removably in the main frame. An optical writing head is provided which is positioned relatively with respect to the photoconductive drum and includes a lens array at an output side of the optical writing head. A housing of a photoconductive drum unit is provided which rotatably supports the photoconductive drum and is positioned and supported on the body of the main frame. By contacting the lens array directly against a surface of the housing of the photoconductive drum unit, the optical writing head is positioned relatively with respect to the photoconductive drum. A shock absorbing member is provided between the lens array and a contact part where the lens array makes contact with the surface of the housing of the photoconductive drum unit.

Image forming device

An image forming device includes a photoconductive drum that is removably provided in a main frame. An optical writing head includes positioning pins and is positioned relatively to the photoconductive drum. A paper guide member includes positioned parts and is fixed in proximity to the photoconductive drum and at a proper relative positional relationship with respect to the photoconductive drum. The paper guide member is formed of a metal plate material and is fixed integrally on the main frame body via attachment bases at both sides of the paper guide member. By the positioning pins being caught in the positioned parts, the optical writing head is positioned relatively with respect to the photoconductive drum.

An image forming device includes a main frame of the image forming device having a body, a drum shaft which is positioned and supported by the body of the main frame of the image forming device, a photoconductive drum which is provided removably in the main frame of the image forming device and supported rotatably on the drum shaft, and an optical writing head which includes positioning pins and is positioned relatively with respect to the photoconductive drum. By contacting the positioning pins against a circumferential body of the drum shaft, the optical writing head is positioned relatively with respect to the photoconductive drum.

An image recording device is equipped with both facsimile functions and copier functions. The image recording device is provided with an image scanning part that transports a document from a document sheet supply tray, scans an image on the document and discharges the document onto a document sheet outlet tray. The image recording device is also provided with a recording part that transports a recording sheet from a cassette unit, records an image on it and discharges the recording sheet on a recorded paper discharge tray. The recorded paper discharge tray is positioned at the uppermost part of the device. Below the recorded paper discharge tray, arranged are the document sheet supply tray, document sheet outlet tray, multi-purpose tray and the cassette unit. All the trays are confined within the width of the device. In other words, no trays project from the side of the device. The recorded paper in the recorded paper discharge tray is easily confirmed since the recorded paper discharge tray is at the top of the device.

Image recording device

An image forming device includes a transportation path, a transportation roller and a foreign particle collecting mechanism. The transportation path extends approximately upward from a paper feed cassette which sequentially feeds paper for printing an image. The transportation path transports the paper from the paper feed cassette via an image forming unit, which prints a desired image onto the paper, to a paper discharge tray. The transportation roller is provided at the transportation path upstream of the image forming unit. The foreign particle collecting mechanism removes a foreign particle adhered to a roller surface of the transportation roller. The paper feed cassette includes a container for receiving a foreign particle dropped off from the foreign particle collecting mechanism.
