An organic electroluminescence element having an anode, an organic layer comprising at least one organic light emitting layer, and a cathode, wherein a face of the anode to which the organic layer is laminated is polished to prevent the generation of a leakage current, and the resultant deterioration of the current-brightness characteristic and destruction of the element.

Organic electroluminescence element and method of making thereof

A first substrate has anodes and cathodes, and an organic luminous material layer is formed between the anodes and cathodes. A second substrate has first conductive patterns formed on one of sides thereof, and second conductive patterns formed on the other side. The second conductive patterns are electrically connected to the first conductive patterns by throughholes formed in the second substrate, and the first conductive patterns are electrically connected to cathodes. Other second conductive patterns are electrically connected to the anodes. The space between the first and second substrates is hermetically sealed at peripheral portions thereof.

Organic electroluminescence device

An EL display panel comprises a plurality of insulating substrates which are aligned side by side. Each substrate has an elongated first side surface and an opposite second side surface, a plurality of discrete electrodes formed on the first side surface, a common electrode formed on the second side surface, and a plurality of luminescent elements formed on a top surface of the substrate. The discrete electrodes of the adjacent substrates are electrically connected with each other.

Electroluminescent display panel

An insulating substrate having an end opposite to a sheet of subject copy is disposed perpendicularly to the sheet. A plurality of photodetector units are provided on the end of the insulating substrate. Each of the photodetector units has a first electrode film connected to a common electrode disposed on one of the sides of the insulating substrate, a second electrode film connected to one of discrete electrodes disposed on the other side of the insulating substrate, and a photoelectric transducer film interposed between the first and second electrode films.

Image sensor having specific detector structure

An insulator substrate is held by a supporting member in an upright position. A plurality of heating members are formed on a top face of the substrate. A plurality of individual conductive patterns and a common electrode are provided on the substrate to be connected to the heating members so as to supply a current to each heating member.

Thermal head for a thermal printer

A component package for the semiconductor laser and photodiodes of an audio or video disk recording and/or playback system includes a wiring substrate which provides electrical wiring to these components and in addition provides support for the same. The substrate is configured to include independently flexible fingers or the like, with the laser and the photodiodes being supported by different fingers. The substrate is itself supported within a package body which is filled with a protective gas. This arrangement allows the electro-optical elements to be provided in chip form without independent protective cases.

Optical element carrying printed substrate and optical head device using

A magnetic head for acoustic instruments. The head is composed of at least two units. Each unit, in turn, is composed of a shielding case half, a core holder, cores, etc. The core holder and/or the cores are easily positioned in the shielding case half at the time of assembly of the unit. The units are joined to each other to form a complete magnetic head.
