A lithium battery includes a substrate, a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer, and a sulfide solid electrolyte layer disposed between the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer, the positive electrode layer, the negative electrode layer, and the sulfide solid electrolyte layer being provided on the substrate. In this lithium battery, the positive electrode layer is formed by a vapor-phase deposition method, and a buffer layer that suppresses nonuniformity of distribution of lithium ions near the interface between the positive electrode layer and the sulfide solid electrolyte layer is provided between the positive electrode layer and the sulfide solid electrolyte layer. As the buffer layer, a lithium-ion conductive oxide, in particular, LiLaTiO(x=0.1 to 0.5), LiLaZrO(&#x2212;5&#x2266;x&#x2266;3, preferably &#x2212;2&#x2266;x&#x2266;2), or LiNbOis preferably used.

Lithium battery

The battery of the invention has a positive-electrode layer, a negative-electrode layer, and an electrolytic layerthrough which ionic conduction is performed between the two electrode layers. In this battery, the positive-electrode layerand the negative-electrode layerare laminated with each other and an insulating layeris placed between the positive-electrode layerand the negative-electrode layer. The insulating layerhas an area smaller than that of one of the positive-electrode layerand the negative-electrode layerand larger than that of the other. There is no place where the positive-electrode layerand the negative-electrode layerface each other through only the electrolytic layer. Even when the electrolytic layerhas a pinhole, the presence of the insulating layerbetween the positive-electrode layerand the negative-electrode layercan suppress short-circuiting between the positive- and negative-electrode layers.

A hydrogen permeable membrane () for selectively allowing hydrogen to permeate therethrough includes a metal base layer () containing vanadium (V), a metal coating layer () containing palladium (Pd), and an intermediate layer () that is formed between the metal base layer () and the metal coating layer () and made of a metal having a higher melting point than the metal base layer () and the metal coating layer () and possessing hydrogen permeability.

A thin film lithium battery is provided which can realize a high yield by solving various problems caused by a pin hole formed in a solid electrolyte layer. A thin film lithium battery according to the present invention is a thin film lithium battery in which a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layerprovided therebetween, and a collectorelectrically connected to at least one of the positive electrode layerand the negative electrode layerare laminated to each other. When this battery is viewed in plan along the lamination direction of the above individual layers, the positive electrode layerand the negative electrode layerare disposed at positions so as not to be overlapped with each other. By the structure as described above, even if a pin hole is formed in the solid electrolyte layer, short-circuiting between the two electrode layersand, which is caused by this pin hole, can be prevented.

Hydrogen storage material and manufacturing method of the same

The invention provides a photocurable resin composition which inhibits the deactivation of a bisacylphosphine oxide-series photopolymerization initiator and is useful for coating optical fibers. The photocurable resin composition comprises (A) a polyurethane (meth)acrylate oligomer, (B) an ethylenically unsaturated compound, (C) a bisacylphosphine oxide-series photopolymerization initiator, and (D) a tertiary amine and no tin component. Incorporation of the component (D) inhibits the decomposition and deactivation of the component (C). The component (A) may contain an aliphatic C.sub.14-40 polyol (hydrogenated dimerdiol, 12-hydroxystearyl alcohol) as a polyol component. This resin composition is used for a primary coating of a glass fiber or an indirect coating of an optical fiber through the primary layer, the coating layer being cured by light irradiation to provide an optical fiber coated with the resin composition.

Photocurable resin composition and a method for producing the same

In the coating composition for a optical fiber of the present invention, a polyurethane (meth)acrylate oligomer (A), which is based on a urethane prepolymer having an equivalent ratio of NCO group in a polyisocyanate (a) to OH group in a polyol (b) of more than 3.0, is used and the oligomer (A) has a mixing weight ratio of an oligomer (d) having a number average molecular weight of 800 or less to an oligomer (e) having a number average molecular weight of 1,000 or more of 30/70-70/30. The coating composition of this invention has a low viscosity, and therefore, is suitable for a rapid fiber-drawing in a production of an optical fiber. Further, a cured material obtained from the coating composition of the present invention has both a high elastic modulus and a high elongation, which properties are required for a hard material, and has a slight change of elastic modulus with a change of temperature to improve a long-term reliability of an optical fiber.

Coating composition for optical fiber

A method for washing a hollow fiber membrane used for blood dialysis, comprising washing the inner wall of the hollow fiber with a clearing solvent comprising, as a main component, a specific aliphatic hydrocarbon having a boiling point of 110-240.degree. C. and a flash point of not less than 21.degree. C. According to the present invention, the lipophilic liquid contained in the core part of the hollow fiber can be removed selectively without removing the glycerol filled in the pores of the hollow fiber membrane. In addition, the method of the present invention is free of the problems of flammability and pollution of global environment.

An organic electroluminescent device having the hole-transport layer in which the hole-transport material is dispersed in the resin binder having a glass transition temperature of not less than 170.degree. C. Since the above organic electroluminescent device has the hole-transport layer exhibiting sufficient durability and higher hole-transport property, it is excellent in luminous efficiency, luminance and stability.
