A mounting structure for a heat accumulation tank is provided with an elastic member that wraps around a tank main body, and a heat accumulation tank mounting member which wraps around the outer peripheral surface of the elastic member and holds the tank main body by being tightened in the circumferential direction, and which attaches to a receiving member. The elastic member is a molded part. The length of the elastic member is shorter than length of the circumference of the outer peripheral surface of the tank main body. The heat accumulation tank mounting member includes a shift inhibiting portion which inhibits an upward shift of the tank main body. The outside diameter of the tank main body becomes increasingly wider in the upward direction.

Mounting structure and method for heat accumulation tank

A heat storage tank includes a tank body having a cylindrical opening portion at one end side, and a coolant passage portion for defining therein flow passages communicating with the tank body. The tank body stores a coolant of a liquid-cooled engine therein while being thermal insulated, and the coolant flows into and flows out of the tank body through the flow passages. The coolant passage portion includes an insertion portion that is inserted into the opening portion in its axial direction. At least two O-rings are provided between the opening portion of the tank body and the insertion portion to seal a clearance therebetween, and are lined in the axial direction to be separated from each other in the axial direction by a predetermined distance. Accordingly, the heat storage tank can improve sealing performance of the coolant.

Heat storage tank in cooling water circuit

A cooling system comprising a cooling water circuit in which cooling water of an engine circulates in a radiator , a hot water circuit in which hot water circulates in a heater core , an air mixing door for adjusting the volume of air which passes through the heater core, a heat storage element provided in a bypass passage for branching hot water into the heat core from the hot water circuit, a flow path selector valve for adjusting the distribution of hot water to the heat storage element and the heater core, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the air mixing door and the flow path selector valve, wherein the control unit controls the flow path selector valve such that the flow rate of hot water to be distributed to the heater core becomes larger than the flow rate of hot water to be distributed to the heat storage element, in the event that the volume of air passing through the heater core is equal to or larger than a predetermined value.

Automotive internal combustion engine cooling system

In a heat storage tank, a discharge port of an introduction passage is covered by a cup-shaped collision member constructed by a shield portion and a guide cover. In addition, a mixture protection plate having plural through holes is disposed in a tank body between the collision member and an inner surface of the tank body. Therefore, a high-speed water stream, upwardly injected from the discharge port, collides with the shield portion, and turns its flow direction by an approximately right angle. Thereafter, the water stream is guided by the guide cover to a lower side of the mixture protection plate. Accordingly, it can prevent water stored in the tank body from being mixed even when the injection water stream has a high speed.

Heat storage tank

In a heat storage tank, an elbow pipe member defining a water introduction passage is formed by connecting an inlet-side cylinder portion and an outlet-side cylinder portion to have a corner portion. A step portion is disposed in the water introduction passage around a position where center lines of both the cylinder portions are crossed with each other. The step portion has a collision surface that is set to cross with a line parallel to the center line of the inlet-side cylinder portion, so that water introduced from the inlet-side cylinder portion collides with the collision surface of the step portion.

A defroster/face cool air passage for introducing cooled air from an evaporator to a defroster opening portion and a face opening portion by bypassing a heater core, and a foot cool air passage for introducing cooled air from the evaporator to a foot opening portion by bypassing a heater core, are formed independently from each other. The foot cool air passage is located at sides of the heater core in a vehicle right-and-left direction. The cooled air from the foot cool air passage is mixed with warmed air having passed through the heater core at an inlet of the foot opening portion. Accordingly, pressure loss at a foot mode in an air conditioning unit with a central installation layout is reduced, and a mounting performance on a central portion of a vehicle instrument panel is improved.

Air conditioner for a vehicle

In a heat storage tank, first and second valve bodies are disposed to open and close first and second valve ports, respectively. A density of the first valve body is made larger than that of cooling water, and a density of the second valve body is made smaller than that of cooling water. When the dynamic pressure due to cooling water is applied to the first and second valve bodies, the first and second valve ports are opened by the first and second valve bodies. On the other hand, when the dynamic pressure is not applied to the first and second valve bodies, the first valve body closes the first valve port by the weight of the first valve body, and the second valve body closes the second valve port by the buoyancy.

An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle includes a front air-conditioning unit for adjusting a temperature of air blown toward a front seat side in a passenger compartment, and a rear air-conditioning unit for adjusting a temperature of air blown toward a rear seat side in the passenger compartment. In the front air-conditioning unit, a ratio between an amount of air passing through a front heater core and an amount of air bypassing the front heater core is adjusted by an air mixing door, and the temperature of air blown toward the front seat side in the passenger compartment is adjusted by the rotation of the air mixing door. On the other hand, in the rear air-conditioning unit, a flow control valve for controlling a flow rate of hot water flowing into a rear heater core is provided, and the temperature of air blown toward the rear seat side in the passenger compartment is adjusted by the flow control valve. Thus, the air conditioning apparatus has a downsized rear air-conditioning unit while preventing air-conditioning capacity for the passenger compartment from being lowered.

Air conditioning apparatus for vehicle

In a vehicle air conditioner, inside air and outside air are switched by first and second inside/outside air switching doors. The first inside/outside air switching door is operated by a first door lever operatively linked with an inside/outside air operation member of an operation panel. On the other hand, the second inside/outside air switching door is operated by a second door lever which is operated by a mode operation lever operatively linked with a mode operation member of the operation panel, a temperature-adjustment operation lever operatively linked with a temperature-adjustment operation member of the operation panel, and an elastic force of a spring. When an air outlet mode except for a defroster mode is manually set by the mode operation member, and when maximum heating is manually set by the temperature-adjustment operation member, the second inside/outside air switching door is operated to an inside air introduction state by the second door lever.

Link lever system for vehicle air conditioner

In an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, a heat exchanger for adjusting a temperature of air blown into a passenger compartment is formed in a lateral-longer shape to have a longest dimension in a right-left direction of the vehicle, and the heat exchanger is accommodated in an air conditioning case. The air conditioning case is also formed in the lateral-longer shape and has a longest dimension in the right-left direction. An air passage is formed in the air conditioning case so that air passes through the heat exchanger from a front side to a rear side in a from-rear direction of the vehicle. The air conditioning case is disposed in an instrument panel at a center in the right-left direction to extend from the center to upper sides of foot spaces provided at right and left sides of a center console without being inserted into the center console. Thus, an installation performance of the air conditioning apparatus in the instrument panel of the vehicle can be improved.

In an air conditioner for a vehicle, a temperature control unit includes a first air mixing door for adjusting an opening degree of a cool air passage through which air having passed through an evaporator bypasses a heater core, and a second air mixing door for adjusting an opening degree of an air inlet portion of the heater core. At least the second air mixing door between the first and second air mixing doors is a butterfly door having a rotation shaft at a center in a door width direction. When an inside/outside air double-layer flow mode is set, the second door partitions an air passage between the evaporator and the heater core into a first air passage through which outside air flows and a second air passage through which inside air flows while fully opening the air inlet portion of the heater core. Thus, in the air conditioner, a distance between the evaporator and the heater core is reduced while partition performance between inside air and outside air due to the second air mixing door is improved.
