An electronic device of the present invention includes a plate-shaped stand member rotatably attached to a back surface of the housing, and a holding member capable of holding the stand member at a predetermined upright support angle with respect to the back surface of the housing, wherein the holding member regulates the rotation of the stand member at a predetermined rotation angle exceeding the upright support angle from a stored position with respect to the housing. With such a configuration, an electronic device such as a portable television can be provided, in which a stand is unlikely to be broken even when the electronic device topples over and a pressing force further is applied thereto.

The connector housingis formed with a pair of guide groovesand a pair of side walls. The guide groovessupport the both side edges of the upper body portionof the thick first cardand also the both side edges of the card bodyof the thin second cardand guide these cards as they are inserted or extracted. The side wallsdefine, below a space between the paired guide grooves, a space in which to accommodate the lower body portionof the first card. This construction ensures that, whichever of the first and second cards is inserted, the elastic displacements of the contact terminalsof a card connectorremain the same, allowing the card to be electrically connected stably.

Card connector

A memory card includes: a main body of the memory card in which a notched section is formed; a semiconductor memory; and a write/nonwrite setting element for setting the write/nonwrite state of data in the semiconductor memory, the write/nonwrite setting element being slidably fitted in the notched section, wherein the main body of the memory card includes an upper main body and a lower main body; at least one of the upper main body and the lower main body has an elastic guide formed within the notched section; the write/nonwrite setting element slides along the elastic guide so as to set the write/nonwrite state of the data in the semiconductor memory; and the elastic guide has an engagement portion for engagedly stopping the write/nonwrite setting element so as to select the position of the write/nonwrite setting element with respect to the elastic guide.

Memory card

The base plate of the connector housing is provided with the raised portion that fits into one of the recessed portions in the card for the contact pads when the card is inserted. The raised portion is made to function as a stopper to block the card from being inserted further when the card is wrongly inserted back to front, thereby preventing a possible deformation of the contact terminals on the connector side in the event that the card is wrongly inserted.

In the connector body, which has side portions for guiding the side surfaces of the IC card, a bottom portion having a support surface to support a front surface or back surface of the inserted IC card and stepped portions to engage the raised surface portion formed on the back surface so that the raised surface portion can be moved in an IC card , insertion/retraction direction, and a top plate portion disposed opposite the bottom portion to prevent the inserted IC card from floating upward; a leaf spring is provided to urge the IC card upward at a predetermined position with respect to the card insertion direction. The top plate portion has a blocking portion which engages the raised surface portion of the IC card at a predetermined blocking position and is disposed in front, with respect to the IC card insertion direction, of the predetermined position where the IC card is urged by the leaf spring.

A memory card includes: a main body of the memory card in which a notched section is formed; a semiconductor memory; and a write/nonwrite setting element for setting the write/nonwrite state of data in the semiconductor memory, the write/nonwrite setting element being slidably fitted in the notched section, wherein the main body of the memory card includes an upper main body and ail lower main body; at least one of the upper main body and the lower main body has an elastic guide formed within the notched section the write/nonwrite setting element slides along the elastic guide so as to set the write/nonwrite state of the data in the semiconductor memory; and the elastic guide has an engagement portion for engagedly stopping the write/nonwrite setting element so as to select the position of the write/nonwrite setting element with respect to the elastic guide.

A recording medium loading apparatus has a recording/reproducing mechanism fixedly arranged in a horizontal posture, a lid body disposed in a generally vertical posture in front of a main body, and a guide mechanism for positioning the tray, in association with the opening/closure of the lid body, just above the lid body to load the recording medium when the lid is in the open state and at a position where the recording medium is mounted on the recording/reproducing mechanism to be played when the lid is in the closed state, thereby achieving inexpensive, compact and high-quality operating with high reliability without using a motor.

A cassette loading apparatus for a cassette tape recorder includes a solenoid unit for controlling various operating conditions of the cassette tape recorder. The solenoid unit is connected with an eject rod through a connecting member and is engageable with a cassette holder and a slide plate carried by the cassette holder. The position of the eject rod is controlled according to the position of the cassette holder between an open position (a cassette eject position) and a closed position (a tape play position) so that when the cassette holder is in the open position, an attracting operation of the solenoid unit is inhibited, but when the cassette holder is in the closed position the attracting operation of the solenoid is enabled.
