In the grommet, it is assumed that a point at a leading end position of the extension portion is a point A, and a point at a position furthest from the point A as seen in the insertion direction in a leading end region of the fitting portion in the insertion direction is a point B. It is assumed that a width of the through hole in a cross section that is parallel with the insertion direction and passes through the point A and the point B when the fitting portion is fitted to the through hole is a hole width W. At this time, a total of a linear distance L between the point A and the point B and a thickness T of the seal lip is larger than the hole width W.

Grommet

It is aimed to provide a wiring harness protector fixing structure having a novel structure and capable of firmly positioning and fixing a protector to an end part of a wiring harness with excellent durability while improving waterproofness even if a mounting member such as a vehicle body panel is not present around. Engaging projections are formed on a flange portion of a metal bracket, whereas a wiring harness protector includes a first divided body and a second divided body to be assembled and integrated. By assembling the first and second divided bodies, the engaging projections of the metal bracket are engaged with engaging holes provided on flange wall portions of the first and second divided bodies, and contact surfaces and provided on at least parts of the flange wall portions come into contact with the flange portion of the metal bracket.

Wiring harness protector fixing structure

A grommet body includes: a cylinder portion into which a wire harness is inserted; a first conical flange portion which extends onto an outer circumference of the cylinder portion, and is formed in a conical shape expanding toward a vehicle body panel; an annular seal lip which is formed in a shape protruding onto an outer circumferential edge portion of the first conical flange portion, the edge portion being on a surface opposing the vehicle body panel; and a second conical flange portion which extends from an outer circumferential end of the first conical flange portion, and is formed in the conical shape expanding toward the vehicle body panel at a conical angle smaller than the conical angle of the first conical flange portion.

A grommet is fit on a pipe harness formed by inserting a wire harness into a metallic pipe. The grommet has a small-diameter tube configured to allow insertion of the pipe harness therethrough in a tight manner. The small-diameter tube has an inner diameter B obtained by adding an allowable tolerance dimension &#x3b1; to an outer diameter A of the pipe. Two annular ribs project from an outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter tube on the side of a distal end opening and a band winding portion is interposed between the annular ribs. An annular sealing lip projects from an inner peripheral surface of the small-diameter tube at an inner position displaced from a position corresponding to the band winding portion. The sealing lip has an inner diameter C obtained by subtracting the allowable tolerance dimension &#x3b1; from the outer diameter A of the pipe.

A waterproof sealing lip section is pressed onto a vehicle body panel, thereby enhancing a high waterproof function even if projecting amounts in height of the burrs are random. A conical waterproof flange projects from an outer peripheral surface of a body side cylinder for passing the wire harness so that the waterproof flange is inclined on the outer peripheral surface. An annular bent end extends from the conical waterproof flange. First and second annular sealing lips project from an inner surface of the bent end. The first and second sealing lips of the waterproof flange are pressed onto the vehicle body panel.

The grommet disclosed includes a first diameter tubular section that allows a wire harness to pass through, and a second diameter tubular section that is provided on the first diameter tubular section. The first diameter tubular section is provided with an outer tubular section that extends in the axial direction. A projecting end of the outer tubular section is connected to the second diameter tubular section. A vehicle body latch portion is provided on an outer periphery or a resin inner of the second diameter tubular section. A grommet-pushing side of the first diameter tubular section is not secured to a wire harness. A grommet-inserting side of the first diameter tubular section is secured to the wire harness. The turning portion is deformed when the grommet is inserted into a through-hole in a vehicle body panel so that the first diameter tubular section is elongated.

Grommet for a motor vehicle

A wire harness includes a main line and branch lines. A protector has longitudinal ends with main line inlet and outlet ports and branch line ports between the ends. Branch line connectors are connected to the branch lines drawn out of the branch line ports. A main line connector is connected to the main line drawn out of the main line outlet port. The branch line connectors and the main line connector are connected to test connectors for a continuity test. Lengths of the branch lines and/or the main line are greater than required in the motor vehicle so that the main line and branch line connectors are connected to the test connectors. A wire additional length containing space is provided in the protector and communicates with the branch line ports and/or with the line outlet port for the lines having the additional lengths.

Protector for wire harness and method for fixing protector to wire harness

A grommet includes a smaller diameter tubular section, an increasing diameter tubular section, and a larger diameter tubular section. The smaller diameter tubular section is connected through the increasing diameter tubular section to the larger diameter tubular section in an axial direction. A U-shape folded portion is provided on a connecting portion (a middle diameter tubular section) between the smaller diameter tubular section and the increasing diameter tubular section. A flap section that spreads conically toward the increasing diameter tubular section is provided on an outer periphery of the smaller diameter tubular section or an outer periphery of the folded portion. The folded portion is stretched straightly when the grommet is inserted into a through-hole. When a vehicle body latching recess is engaged with a peripheral edge around the through-hole, the folded portion returns to the original shape, and a distal end peripheral edge of the flap section contacts with a vehicle body panel at a passenger room side to define a sound absorbing closed space.

A protector for a wire harness has a U-shaped main body casing for receiving a wire harness and a lid for closing an opening in the main body casing. The main body casing has opposite longitudinal ends with inlet and outlet portions for passing the wire harness. The inlet and outlet portions define tape-supports to be secured to the wire harness by tape-wrapping. A tape-support also is provided on a longitudinal end of the lid at a side of at least one of the inlet and outlet portions. The tape-support of the lid is slanted to contact an outer surface of the wire harness. The wire harness is disposed between the tape-supports of the lid and the main body casing. A tape is wound around the tape-supports of the main body casing and the lid to secure these portions to the wire harness.

Protector for wire harness

Locking hooksare engaged with and locked into locking hook engaging frames, the locking hooksbeing provided in a lower end portion on both sides in a width direction of a lid, the locking hook engaging framesbeing provided in an upper end portion on both sides in the width direction of a protector main body. The lidhas a portion having one of cross-sectionally arcuate, inverted V, and trapezoidal shapes. The lidhaving one of the shapes is provided with one of the locking hookson a first side of the lower end portion in the width direction, and a projectionhaving a narrow width on an opposing second side of the lower end portion. The protector main bodycovered by the lidhaving one of the shapes is provided with one of the projecting locking hook engaging frameslocked with the locking hookon the first side in the width direction, and an L-shaped stopperhaving a narrow width and contacted by a lower end of the projectionon the opposing second side.

Protector

In an arrangement structure for a door wire harness, the door wire harness is arranged in a door of a vehicle body and is spanned in a space between the door and the vehicle body inside a vehicle room beyond a weather strip. The door wire harness is drawn out of a space between a door inner panel and a door trim at a door side and is fixed on the door at a wire harness drawing-out position. A door side fixing position of the door wire harness is shifted from a vehicle body side fixing position of the door wire harness in a vertical direction. A spanning section of the door wire harness between the door side fixing position and the vehicle body side fixing position is sheathed by a grommet having a flexible bellows-like tube portion and made of rubber or resin. The spanning section of the door wire harness is bent in an S-shaped configuration in a space between opposed surfaces of the door and the vehicle body when the door is closed. The door wire harness is changed from the S-shaped configuration to a straight line configuration when the door is opened.

Arrangement structure of door wire harness

In a protector, made of resin molding, through which a group of electric wires is penetrated, a branch-wire branching portion is projected slantly from a trough-shaped protector body along a direction in which the branch wires are wired, and the branch-wire branching portion has a bottom wall and one side wall and is sectionally L-shaped, and an auxiliary wall for tape-winding use is projected from an outer surface of the one side wall of the branch-wire branching portion with the auxiliary wall for tape-winding use forming an angle in a range of 90 degrees&#xb1;20 degrees to the protector body. In the above-described construction, with branch wires inserted through the branch-wire branching portion, a tape is wound round peripheral surfaces of the branch wires, a peripheral surface of the branch-wire branching portion, and a periphery of the auxiliary wall for tape-winding use to fix the branch wires to the branch-wire branching portion.

The present invention provides a grommet configured of an elastic body, which is externally mounted on a group of electric wires spanned between a vehicle-body panel and a movable body coupled to the vehicle-body panel with a hinge. The grommet includes short large-diameter tubular sections having annular locking grooves inserted into and locked to through-holes respectively provided in the vehicle-body panel and the movable body at both ends in the lengthwise direction; long small-diameter tubular sections that are continuous with the large-diameter tubular sections; and a corrugated tubular section continuously provided between the small-diameter tubular sections at the both ends, the corrugated tubular section being bent into a U shape when the movable body is closed. The small diameter tubular section at the locking side for the vehicle-body panel and a portion of the corrugated tubular section that is continuous with the small diameter tubular section are projectively provided with a rib that is continuous in a lengthwise direction, on outer peripheries thereof. The rib projects out of the outer peripheries of ridge and valley portions alternately provided on the corrugated tubular section, and the rigidity of the rib restrains the corrugated tubular section from curving outward.

According to one embodiment, a gradation control apparatus comprises a coring module configured to change the coring amount of a video signal according to the degree of movement of the video signal, a smoothing module configured to perform a gradation smoothing process on the video signal, and a parameter controller configured to obtain a frame difference histogram as the degree of movement of the video signal and change an effect parameter for the gradation smoothing process according to the result of weighting the histogram.

A grommet, made of an elastic body, is externally mounted on a group of electric wires to be spanned between a car-body panel and a movable body consisting of a door or a trunk lid coupled to the car-body panel through a hinge member. The grommet has large-diameter cylindrical parts which are disposed on one and other ends thereof in a longitudinal direction thereof and have an annular locking groove respectively to be inserted into and locked to a through-hole formed through the car-body panel and a through-hole formed through the trunk lid respectively; small-diameter cylindrical parts continuous with the large-diameter cylindrical parts respectively; and a bellows-like cylindrical part provided between the small-diameter cylindrical parts with the bellows-like cylindrical part continuous with the small-diameter cylindrical parts.
