A metal-film laminate including a metal plate and a biaxially oriented polyester-group film laminated on the metal plate. The orientation degree of the film is controlled such that, when the thickness of the film is represented by T and the mean orientation degree of the film in the area from the metal-plate side surface to a position of T/2 in the thickness direction of the film is represented by X, the orientation degree of the film in the area from the metal-plate side surface to the position of T/2 is in the range of X.+-.0.5X and an orientation degree of the film at the non-metal-plate side surface is not less than 2X. When the metal-film laminate is processed by drawing etc., an excellent drawing property and an excellent impact resistance of an obtained metal-film laminated product can be achieved.

Disclosed is a polyester film for use of a laminate with a metal plate comprising a polyester=group resin containing a white pigment having a mean particle diameter of 0.01 to 1.8 .mu.m at a content of 10 to 30% by weight. The film has (a) a void ratio of 4 to 30%, (b) a melting peak temperature of 150.degree. to 245.degree. C., (c) an amount of oligomer of not more than 3% by weight and (d) an orientation degree of 0.7 to 4.0. When the film is laminated on a metal, it can indicate excellent light interruptive property, lamination property, forming property and processing property.

Disclosed is a polyester film for use of a laminate with a metal plate comprising a polyester-group resin containing a white pigment having a mean particle diameter of 0.01 to 1.8 .mu.m at a content of 10 to 30% by weight. The film has (a) a void ratio of 4 to 30%, (b) a melting peak temperature of 150.degree. to 245.degree. C., (c) an amount of oligomer of not more than 3% by weight and (d) an orientation degree of 0.7 to 4.0. The present invention is directed to a polyester film comprising at least at its surface portion oriented sulfonic acid groups and/or salts thereof with an orientation degree of 5-100, which has an excellent adhesiveness, especially excellent anti-alkaline adhesiveness. The present invention also makes it possible to provide a polyester film having, in addition to the excellent adhesiveness, an excellent transparency, antistatic property and waterproof property.

The present invention relates to a composite film comprising a plastic film and a protective layer which is formed on at least one surface of the film, wherein the protective layer is made of a mixture comprising (a) an inorganic swellable silicate having a layered structure and (b) a compound containing a silanol group at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of between 1:1000 and 2:1 and an antistatic composite film comprising a plastic film and a coating layer which is formed on at least one surface of the film, wherein said coating layer is made of a mixture comprising (a) a swellable inorganic silicate having a layered structure and containing at least one ion selected from among aliphatic ammonium ions having at most 6 carbon atoms, sodium ion, silver ion and lithium ion as an interlayer ion and (b) at least one member selected from among water-soluble compounds and water-dispersible resins at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of between 1:1000 and 2:1. These composite films are excellent in electrical characteristics, smoothness, slipperiness, anti-scratching properties, antistatic properties and the like, so that they are suitable for various uses such as electrical insulating material, wrapping material, labels, writable and erasable materials, print lamination film, magnetic recording medium, micro-film or the like.
