An electric connection box includes a housing having an opening and side walls, a lock protruding plate, a lid having a hanging wall having a hanging wall lower end surface and a hook, lock portions, a rotation tip end portion of the lid being provided between the lock portions, an annular packing, a step portion and a cutout portion provided on the hanging wall on a first portion of the lid, the first portion comprising the rotation tip end portion. The cutout portion is formed by cutting a lower tip end of the hanging wall such that a first clearance between the hanging wall lower end surface and the step portion at the first portion is larger than a second clearance between the hanging wall lower end surface and the step portion at a second portion of the lid, the second portion being different from the first portion.

Electric connection box

An electric connection box includes a housing having an opening defined by an upper end of side walls, a lock protruding plate, a lid including a hanging wall and to be attached to the housing, a hook, an inner wall protruding from the lid and a notch being obtained by cutting a lower tip end of the inner wall. The hanging wall is, when the lid is attached to the housing, to cover an outer side of side walls. The hook is to rotate the lid such that the lid is attached to the housing. The inner wall is to, when the lid is attached to the housing, to sandwich the one of the plurality side walls between the hanging wall. An electric connection box includes a first base on which an electronic component is configured to be mounted, the first base having a first side surface portion and a second side surface portion, and a second base on which the electronic component is configured to be mounted, the second base configured to be assembled to the first base and having a first side surface portion and a second side surface portion. The first side surface portion of the first base faces the second side surface portion of the first base. The first side surface portion of the second base faces the second side surface portion of the second base. The first side surface portion of the first base has a guide rib. The first side surface portion of the second base has a guide groove.

A shift lever assembly for a vehicle transmission can include an escutcheon body having a first guide rail and a second guide rail where the first and second guide rails are spaced apart from each other and are substantially parallel to each other. A slider body can be provided and can be movable with respect to the escutcheon body and include at least one spring member. The at least one spring member can include a contact structure, and a compression force can be applied via the contact structure to maintain the contact structure in compression with the guide rails.

Vehicle shift lever system and method

A shifter mounting bracket assembly is disclosed which can include an L-shaped flange body and an extension body extending from the L-shaped flange body. The extension body can include a first opening defined by at least one C-shaped extension portion and a second opening defined by the at least one C-shaped extension portion. The openings and C-shaped extension portions can be configured to provide a stress zone that is deformable when impact forces are applied to the shifter assembly. The extension body can have an L-shape and can be connected to the shifter assembly, while the L-shaped flange body is connected to the interior of the vehicle to hold the shifter assembly in place in the vehicle.

A transmission control apparatus for an automobile to be arranged on or near an instrument panel of a vehicle comprising: a bracket for supporting a control lever unit for speed-change operation; a plate secured to the bracket; a shaft passed through both the bracket and the plate for rotatably supporting the control lever unit therearound; a first shock absorbing portion adapted to be broken when a shock load exceeding a predetermined value is applied to the control lever unit in order to absorb the shock load and to release the support of the shaft from the bracket or the plate; and a second shock absorbing portion adapted to be deformed by the shaft released from the bracket and displaced together with the control lever unit over a predetermined stroke in order to continuously absorb the shock load.

Transmission control apparatus for an automobile

In a shift lever assembly for a vehicle comprising a base member and a shift lever pivotably supported by the base member, the shift lever is detachable from the base member when an excessive force greater than a prescribed value is applied to the shift lever. Typically, the base member comprises a retaining member for holding the shift lever in an operable position and the retaining member is given a strength so as to break when an excessive force greater than a prescribed value is applied to the retaining member to thereby release the shift lever. In this way, when an excessive force greater than a prescribed value is applied to the shift lever for example by being hit against by a driver or a passenger in a traffic accident, the shift lever is detached from the base and retracted into the instrument panel, thereby effectively preventing the shift lever from causing damage to the driver or passenger. This shift lever assembly is especially suitable for installation in the instrument panel facing the driver or passenger.

A shift lever assembly of a vehicle comprises: a base member; a shift lever supported by the base member so as to be pivotable around a shifting axis and a selection axis, the shifting axis and the selection axis being at a right angle to each other; an extension extending from the shift lever and connected to a first cable for transmitting a movement of the shift lever around the shifting axis to transmission means, wherein the connection between the first cable and the extension of the shift lever lies on the selection axis. In this shift lever assembly, the selection movements of the shift lever do not cause the bending of the cable connected to the extension of the shift lever for transmitting the shifting movements of the shift lever, and do not apply undesired stress upon the cable. Therefore, with a simple mechanism, it is possible to put the connection between the extension of the shift lever and the cable close to the end of the cable casing for receiving and guiding the cable, thus achieving reduced assembly size and smaller space for installing the shift lever assembly.
