A power conversion device includes: a first control unit and a second control unit that output a first control signal and a second control signal, respectively; a gate circuit that causes a control signal selected from the first control signal and the second control signal to pass through the gate circuit; and a drive circuit that drives a main circuit based on the control signal that passes through the gate circuit. When the second control signal is selected in the state where the first control signal passes through the gate circuit, the gate circuit interrupts the first control signal and causes the second control signal to pass through the gate circuit as an absolute value of an instantaneous value of an AC current decreases below a threshold current.

A plastic cap, which is a highly producible one-piece type cap when molded, but becomes a two-piece type cap excellent in sealability and openability when used, and enables a small-diameter pouring opening to be formed, is provided. The plastic cap comprises: a cap body which is composed of a top plate section and a skirt section, has a pouring nozzle formed on an outer surface of the top plate section so as to surround an opening-scheduled portion, and is fitted and fixed to a container mouth; and a top lid composed of a top face, and a circumferential wall suspending from an outer peripheral edge of the top face. The inner plug is formed integrally with the cap body via a breakable weakened portion at a position below a seal portion of the pouring nozzle having an inner diameter enabling the seal portion to intimately contact the inner plug. On an inner surface of the annular sidewall, an engaged portion vertically engageable with the engaging portion of the protrusion is formed.

A container lid () can be removed from a mouth-neck section () of a container without the need for a tool. Following the breakage of a breakable thin-walled line () in a transition region (), the breakage of a breakable thin-walled connection wall () in a side wall separation region () can be started sufficiently smoothly in the container lid (). For this purpose, the breakable thin-walled line () formed in a side wall () in the transition region () is brought into a form in which at least a part thereof extends obliquely downwardly in a counterclockwise direction.

To prevent a decrease in luminance of the flashed high-beam headlights caused by ambient temperature in a vehicle headlight system using a liquid crystal element. The vehicle headlight system for selectively irradiating light in front of an own vehicle includes: a light source; a liquid crystal element for forming an image using light from the light source where the liquid crystal element is a normally closed liquid crystal element having a relatively low transmittance when no voltage is applied thereto; a driving circuit for driving the liquid crystal element; and a control part that determines whether or not the light source is in a light-off state and controls the driving circuit to set the liquid crystal element to a transmission state when the light source is in the light-off state.

Provided is a vehicular headlight that is capable of generating a clear light distribution pattern using a monolithic array light source of surface emitting lasers. The vehicular headlightincludes a VCSEL array, an image generation unit including a lens arraywhich outputs incident light from the VCSEL arrayas collimated light so that an image of a light distribution pattern as an illuminance distribution is generated on an output side, a light distribution pattern forming unithaving an image forming surface on which the image is formed by the incident light from the image generation unit, and a projection unitoutputting the incident light from the light distribution pattern forming unit to an irradiation region in front of the vehicle.

A lighting device comprising: a light source for emitting lights along optic axis toward field of view; a liquid crystal element disposed on the optic axis, having electrode pattern in far field FF corresponding region and having no electrode pattern in near field corresponding region; a pair of polarizers including input side and output side polarizers sandwiching the liquid crystal element, constituting crossed Nicol polarizers; driver circuit for forming voltages applied to the electrode pattern; and phase shift forming element disposed between the pair of polarizers in the near field corresponding region of the liquid crystal element; wherein the far field corresponding region constitutes normally black optic system together with the pair of polarizers, and the near field corresponding region constitutes normally-on optic system together with the phase shift forming element and the pair of polarizers.

Lighting device

A method for adjusting output light color from a vehicular headlamp unit to correct the difference or change of white light of a light source by a liquid crystal element. The vehicular headlamp unit includes a light source; an information acquisition unit that acquires information in front of a own vehicle; an irradiation pattern calculation unit that determines an irradiation pattern on the basis of the information; a voltage application unit that applies a voltage to a liquid crystal element on the basis of the irradiation pattern; the liquid crystal element that changes a transmittance of each of light control regions on the basis of the voltage; and a projection optical system that performs light distribution control of light controlled to be transmitted by the liquid crystal element. The method includes adjusting color of light emitted from the vehicular headlamp unit by the voltage applied to the liquid crystal element.
