An electronic device () has hold parts (R,L) constituting respective right and left side parts of the electronic deviceand being available to be held by a user. Operating sticks (R,L) are provided on the respective hold parts (R,L). A rear touch panel () is provided on the rear surface of the electronic device (). The rear touch panel () is provided in at least an area located further upward than a positions P opposite from the operation sticks (R,L). This layout of the rear touch panel () allows a user to smoothly operate the rear touch panel () while holding the hold parts of the electronic device.

A slide cover is curved such that a central portion thereof in a front and rear direction is positioned higher than a front edge and a rear edge thereof. A disk accommodation section in which an optical disk is to be disposed is covered with the slide cover which is positioned at a closed position. A rotational driving portion configured to be fitted in a center hole of the optical disk to rotate the optical disk is provided on the disk accommodation section. With this electronic apparatus, the cost can be reduced, and an installation operation of an optical disk by a user can be facilitated.

An electronic device () according to the present invention has a substrate () where a data storage unit () incorporating a storage medium is mounted, and a columned enclosure () for storing the substrate () in a standing posture, with an axial direction thereof directed to the vertical direction. The enclosure () has a pair of lateral walls () opposite to the substrate () in the Y-Ydirection. The pair of lateral walls () have a curved shape curved so that middle portions in the Z-Zdirection depart from the substrate () more than the respective both ends in the Z-Zdirection.

An object is to provide a cover for allowing an operation to an operating part provided on the rear surface of a portable electronic device when the electronic device being used. A cover includes a front cover plate, a rear cover plate, and an attachment member capable of being attached the electronic device. The front cover plate and the rear cover plate are connected to the attachment member such that each relative angle thereof relative to the attachment member are changeable.
