Fastening structure of power unit

A planetary gearset provided with a sun gear, a ring gear, and a carrier that rotatably retains a plurality of pinion gears arranged between the sun gear and the ring gear as elements, in which one of the elements is made a fixed element and one of the other elements is made a rotating element, and which transmits torque between that rotating element and an external member provided in a location eccentric with respect to that rotating member. The planetary gearset is constructed such that the fixed element is movably retained in the direction of a load from the transmission of torque between the rotating element and the external member, and the load from the transmission of torque between the rotating element and the external member is received by a fixed portion that rotatably retains that rotating element.

A case in which a vehicular power transmitting apparatus is stored, has: an annular support portion which surrounds an outer periphery of a planetary gear set and supports a fixed element from among a plurality of gears and a carrier of the planetary gear set; an outer peripheral wall portion that surrounds the annular support portion; a flange portion that forms a mounting surface on an outer portion of the outer peripheral wall portion; and a dividing wall portion which extends to the outside from the annular support portion toward the outer peripheral wall portion and the flange portion, and which forms the flange portion and the mounting surface and divides spaces within the case. A joining portion, in which a fastening hole to which the fastening member is joined and whose axis passes through the dividing wall portion is formed, is integrally formed with the dividing wall portion.

Vehicular power transmitting apparatus

A ring gear is an annular gear having an annular base portion with a predetermined constant width, and the annular base portion is provided with a gear on an entire periphery thereof. The base portion includes a first wall thickness portion having a first wall thickness, and a second wall thickness portion having a second wall thickness thicker than the first wall thickness.

Annular gear

A power transmission system comprising: a power synthesizing mechanism connected in a power transmitting manner to an electric motor and a power generator; and a speed change mechanism for changing the rotating speed of the electric motor to transmit the motor torque to the power synthesizing mechanism. An arranging region for the electric motor and an arranging region for the power generator do not overlap on each other in the axial directions of the output shaft of the electric motor and the rotary shaft of the power generator.

In the two sets of planetary gear units in which the ratios of the tooth numbers of the sun gears to the tooth numbers of the ring gears are different from each other, the ring gears are identical to each other in the tooth number, the normal module, the normal pressure angle, the angle of torsion, the pitch radius, the base radius, the bottom diameter, the top diameter, the tooth height, the dedendum, the addendum, the lead, the coefficient of normal shift and the arcuate tooth thickness, and the pinions of those two sets of planetary gear units are identical to each other in at least the arcuate tooth thickness, the coefficient of normal shift, the dedendum, the addendum, the tooth height, the angle of torsion, the normal pressure angle and the normal module.

Automatic transmission for vehicles

A transmission including composite planetary gears supported by a carrier such that the planetary gears are arranged around an axis of the carrier, each planetary gear consisting of a large and a small pinion which mesh with a first and a second gear, respectively, and which have a ratio Zp.sub.1 /Zp.sub.2 equal to an integer not smaller than 2, wherein Zp.sub.1 and Zp.sub.2 represent numbers of teeth of the large and small pinions, respectively. The transmission is assembled by assembling the common second gear and the carrier supporting the planetary gears, such that the small pinion of each composite planetary gear meshes with the common second gear, and assembling the common first gear and the carrier such that the large pinion of each planetary gear supported by the carrier meshes with the common first gear.

Transmission with integral large and small planetary gears, and method

A planetary gear device including a first gear, a second gear, a carrier, and composite planetary gears each having a large- and a small-diameter pinion that are formed integrally with each other and arranged in the axial direction. The composite planetary gears are mounted rotatably on respective pinion shafts such that the composite planetary gears are axially movable over predetermined distances due to axial plays, and the pinion shafts are supported by the carrier such that the pinion shafts are disposed around an axis of the carrier. The pinions of the composite planetary gears mesh with the first and second gears, respectively. Each of the first and second gears and the pinions consists of a helical gear whose teeth have a helix angle with respect to the axis. The large-diameter and small-diameter pinions have the same direction of helix and the same amount of lead.
