An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit configured to form, on an image carrier, a first correction pattern including developer images of a plurality of colors, and a second correction pattern including developer images of the plurality of colors; a registration correction unit configured to perform registration correction control based on a detection result of the developer images of the first correction pattern; and a density correction unit configured to perform density correction control based on a detection result of the second correction pattern. The density correction unit is further configured to decide a detection result of the developer image of at least one color of the second correction pattern used for the density correction control based on a detection result of the developer image of the first correction pattern.

A setting unit sets a high-voltage set value. A first generation unit generates a high voltage based on the set value set by the setting unit and a first reference voltage supplied from a supply unit. A second generation unit generates a second reference voltage by being supplied with the first reference voltage from the supply unit. A radar device includes: an oscillator for generating a wave at a plurality of transmission frequencies; a transmitting antenna; a receiving antenna; a receiver for generating a real received signal; a Fourier transform unit for performing a Fourier transform on the real received signal in a time direction; a spectral peak detecting unit for receiving an input of a result of the Fourier transform to extract peak complex signal values of Doppler frequency points having a maximum amplitude; a distance calculating unit for storing the peak complex signal values and for calculating a distance to a reflecting object based on the stored peak complex signal values to output the obtained distance as a measured distance value; and a distance sign determining unit for determining validity of the measured distance value and for outputting the measured distance value and the Doppler frequency according to a result of determination.

An image forming apparatus has an image forming unit and a film-heat-type fuser over which a sheet with an unfixed toner image passes and on which are positioned a first temperature-measuring device centered on the fuser so that a sheet always passes over that device and a second temperature measuring device disposed away from the center so that large sheets will pass over the second temperature measuring device and small sheets will not pass over the device when being conveyed correctly. An oxygen density detecting device for a combustor in which individual adjustment of reference levels for each combustor is not necessary. A memory device stores a reference ion current value from a sensor disposed in the combustor for a predetermined period of time extending from the time instant at which combustion breaks out in the combustor until the ion current has substantially stabilized. The oxygen density of the room air used by the combustor is determined by comparing the ion current value stored in the memory with ion current values which are successively provided by the sensing device. An output signal produced thereby is utilized to control circuit elements including a fuel supplying electromagnetic pump and a combustion air blower used for supplying room air into the combustor.
