A method for producing a resin composition is provided. The method includes melting and kneading a thermoplastic resin having a transition temperature of less than 200&#xb0; C. and a powder with a twin-screw kneading extruder. The powder is an inorganic filler having an apparent density of 0.1 to 1.5 g/ml. The resin is supplied from a supply port to the extruder, and the powder is supplied from a gravimetric feeder to the extruder through a screw type side feeder. A transport capacity of the side feeder is 2 times or more an effective volume of the powder per unit time. In the extruder, melting and kneading are performed under conditions in which resin pressure in a first kneading zone is 1 MPa or more, and resin pressure in a second kneading zone is less than 3 MPa, and gas is removed from a vent port.

An air battery having a main body including a container package member, an electrolytic solution contained in the container package member, a cathode having a cathode catalyst that is in contact with the electrolytic solution, and an anode that is in contact with the electrolytic solution; a tank storing the electrolytic solution; a pump circulating the electrolytic solution between the main body and the tank; an oxygen intake incorporating oxygen into the electrolytic solution in the way of circulation of the electrolytic solution; and a pipe arrangement connecting the tank, the pump, the oxygen intake and the main body so that the electrolytic solution circulates in the order thus named, wherein the oxygen intake has an oxygen selective permeable membrane.

Disclosed is a polypropylene resin composition comprising from 50 to 95 wt. % of propylene homopolymer component (A) and from 5 to 50 wt. % of ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer component (B1), the polypropylene resin composition having a melt index of not less than 40 g/10 min but less than 500 g/10 min, provided that the percentages by weight are based on the combined weight of the components (A) and (B1), wherein the homopolymer component (A) has an intrinsic viscosity [&#x3b7;]of from 0.5 to 1.4 dl/g, and wherein the ratio of the intrinsic viscosity [&#x3b7;]of the copolymer component (B1) to the intrinsic viscosity [&#x3b7;]of the homopolymer component (A), [&#x3b7;]/[&#x3b7;], is from 0.5 to 3. This composition may be modified by addition of a resin component selected from the group consisting of ethylene homopolymer and aromatic vinyl compound-containing rubber. These components are advantageously used for injection foam molding.

Gas-barrier multilayer film

A process for producing a multilayer film which, even when bent, is less apt to decrease in barrier property or electrical conductivity. The process comprises forming a barrier film and a transparent conductive film on a resin film to produce a multilayer film. The barrier film is formed by a plasma enhanced CVD method which uses electric discharge between rolls. The transparent conductive film is preferably formed by physical vapor deposition. The resin film preferably is a polyester resin film or a polyolefin resin film.

Disclosed are processes for producing polypropylene resin compositions including two or three sorts of propylene-based polymeric materials, the processes including a first step of melt-kneading at least a propylene-&#x3b1;-olefin block copolymer containing a polymer portion composed mainly of propylene and a propylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer portion having a relatively high intrinsic viscosity and a second step of melt-kneading the product of the first step with a propylene-ethylene block copolymer containing a polymer portion composed mainly of propylene and a propylene-ethylene copolymer portion having a relatively low intrinsic viscosity or a polymer portion composed mainly of propylene having a relatively low intrinsic viscosity. In the composition produced by these processes, no or substantially no fish eyes develop.

Multilayer pellet and method for producing the same

A propylene-ethylene-butene block copolymer is provided which includes from 60 to 85% by weight of a polypropylene portion and from 15 to 40% by weight of a propylene-ethylene-butene random copolymer portion, wherein the copolymer satisfies the requirements (1) and (2) given below. In addition, a molded article including such a propylene-ethylene-butene block copolymer is provided. (1) The random copolymer portion includes a propylene-ethylene random copolymer component (EP) and a propylene-ethylene-butene random copolymer component (EPB) and the copolymer component (EP) has an intrinsic viscosity of from 1.5 to 8 dl/g and an ethylene unit content of from 20 to 50% by weight, and the copolymer component (EPB) has an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.5 to 8 dl/g, an ethylene unit content of from 47 to 77% by weight and a butene unit component of from 3 to 33% by weight and the total of the ethylene unit content and the butene unit content is from 50 to 80% by weight. (2): The propylene-ethylene-butene block copolymer has a melt flow rate of from 5 to 120 g/10 min.
