In one embodiment of the present invention, a water pump () is configured such that rotation is transmitted in a non-contact condition from a drive-end rotation member () whereto rotation is transmitted from an engine to a driven-end rotation member () having a pump impeller (). The drive-end rotation member () includes a vacuum chamber () and a pair of permanent magnets () provided so as to be mutually opposed with different polarities. The driven-end rotation member () includes an induction ring () having an induction section () provided so as to form a prescribed interval between the pair of permanent magnets (). Furthermore, the pair of permanent magnets () is moved in a rotation axis direction with respect to the induction section () due to the vacuum introduced into the vacuum chamber (), and the overlap amount (L) of the pair of permanent magnets () and the induction section () in the rotation axis direction is changed.

Water pump

A pulley is fixed to a housing of a water pump, the pulley being connected to an output shaft of an internal combustion engine so that the pulley is driven through the output shaft. In the housing, a slider moves to and fro due to a change in pressure in a pressure chamber, which causes the magnetic flux passing through a magnet and an inductor ring of a rotary cylinder to vary, so that the driving force of the internal combustion engine is variably transmitted to the rotary cylinder. The pressure chamber is connected to an intake air passage and an atmospheric air introducing portion through a pressure path, and the state of communication is changed by a VSV. The pressure passage is provided with an orifice for preventing rapid change in pressure in the pressure chamber when the VSV is switched.

A magnetic drive pump includes a pump chamber including an inlet port and an outlet port, a partition wall separating the pump chamber from an exterior, a rotational shaft provided at a side of the pump chamber relative to the partition wall, an impeller rotatably supported by a first end of the rotational shaft, an inductor integrally fixed to the impeller to rotate, a magnetic member positioned radially outside of the partition wall and facing the inductor, the magnetic member rotatably supported, a rotation drive device fixed to the magnetic means and actuating the magnetic member to rotate, and a drive device moving at least one of the magnetic member and the inductor in an axial direction of the rotational shaft.

Magnetic drive pump

An exhaust gas sealing system for a turbocharger includes a control valve for controlling a flow of an exhaust gas in a turbine housing, a shaft extending to an outside of the turbine housing through a bearing bore provided on the turbine housing, one end of the shaft being fixed to the control valve, and a sealing member for preventing the exhaust gas from leaking to the outside of the turbine housing through a gap formed between the bearing bore and the shaft. The sealing member includes a through-hole forming a gap with the shaft smaller than a gap formed between the bearing bore and the shaft. One side of the sealing member is pressed against a sealing face and is provided within a cavity formed in the turbine housing and including the sealing face on a peripheral side of the shaft.
