A radial turbine impeller includes a hub having a substantially conical shape and multiple turbine blades provided on an outer peripheral surface of the hub at intervals in a rotational direction. In a meridian cross section, a hub line formed by the outer peripheral surface of the hub has a diameter that monotonically decreases from an upstream end on a radially outer side to a downstream end on a radially inner side, and includes a convex part that is convex toward a radially outer side.

Radial turbine impeller

A radial turbine impeller includes full blades and splitter blades arranged alternately in the rotational direction of the radial turbine impeller, the splitter blades having a shorter blade length in a fluid flow direction in the radial turbine impeller than the full blades. A throat is provided between each two of the full blades adjacent to each other in the rotational direction. A part of a downstream edge of each splitter blade on a side of a base edge which is joined to an outer peripheral surface of a hub is positioned upstream of the throat, and a part of the downstream edge of each splitter blade on a side of a tip edge which is remote from the outer peripheral surface of the hub is positioned downstream of the part of the downstream edge on the side of the base edge.

A turbine () includes: a turbine impeller chamber () having a tubular outflow portion (), from which an exhaust gas flows out in an outflow direction (F) substantially parallel to an axis (C) of a turbine impeller (); a bypass flow passage () bypassing the inside of the turbine impeller chamber; an outer duct () having an inner peripheral surface () that expands in diameter in the outflow direction from the outflow portion; and an inner duct () that extends in the outflow direction from the outflow portion. A diffuser flow passage () that expands in diameter in the outflow direction is disposed in the inner duct at least in a portion between the outflow portion and a distal end portion (). An outlet () of the bypass flow passage and a waste gate valve () that opens and closes the outlet are disposed on the inner peripheral surface.

Turbine

A method of recording information on a video disk, includes the steps of: recording a video signal on the video disk; and recording table-of-contents data to control reproduction of the recorded video signal, on a plurality of frames in a lead-in area of the video disk. The table-of-contents data has a data structure, which is completed in each of the plurality of frames and is repeatedly identical in each of the plurality of frames adjacent to each other.

Method of recording and reproducing information on a video disk

An automatic sound volume control device for use in a device such as a radio or tape player used in a high ambient noise environment. The noise and sound signal levels above predetermined reference levels are detected and a control signal is produced having a level determined in accordance with the output signals so produced. The amplification gain of the sound signal is set by this control signal. Several different ways of producing the control signal are described, each of which has particular advantages in different situations and for different types of reproduced sound.
