The invention relates to a device for actuating the horn on steering wheels, comprising a steering wheel frame and at least one fixed horn contact provided thereon, and comprising a moving paddling support i.e. generator support and at least one horn contact, which is provided thereon and to which the fixed horn contact is assigned. The invention provides that the padding support i.e. the generator support is mounted on the steering wheel frame in a manner that enables it to pivot at a position.

Device for actuating the horn on steering wheels

A housing for an airbag module for arranging on the steering wheel of a motor vehicle comprises a hinge mechanism for pivotably fixing the housing to a steering wheel and at least one fixing mechanism for additionally mounting the housing on the steering wheel in a floating manner. The hinge mechanism and the fixing mechanism are arranged at a distance from each other. The inventive housing also comprises a contact mechanism for triggering a vehicle horn. The contact mechanism is arranged at a distance from the hinge mechanism, and the housing mounted in a floating manner can be pivoted about the hinge mechanism in order to trigger the vehicle horn by applied pressure.

Housing for an airbag module

An airbag module including a housing for accommodating at least one gas generator and at least one airbag. The housing is not connected to the dashboard and may move away from the occupant. The housing my include at least one pair of brackets comprising a first deformable bracket for fastening the housing on a vehicle cross member and a second bracket, which is provided with a slot extending essentially in the direction of movement of the housing, for guiding at least one connecting element during the movement of the housing and for damping this movement, the connecting element connecting the first bracket to the vehicle cross member.

Airbag module for motor vehicles

This invention relates to an airbag module, especially a passenger airbag module, having a module housing and a cover plate with at least one side wall, whereby said cover plate is a separate component that rests upon a surrounding component. The invention provides two means of engagement. A first engaging means allows the cover plate to move in relation to the surrounding component. A second engaging means allows the cover plate to move in relation to the module housing.

An airbag module has a housing, a multiple stage gas generator, a gas bag and a gas bag cover. In an inoperative state the gas bag lies in a folded condition next to the gas generator. Only one gas bag layer extends over the generator so that after ignition of the gas generator, the gas bag is drawn successively out from a housing by the gases discharged from the generator. The gas bag cover is formed so that after opening the gas bag cover increasingly greater forces are required to unfold the gas bag from a predetermined time point onwards and so that an outer part of the gas bag only unfolds in the event of the greater forces.

The invention relates to a steering wheel with a moving contact that is elastically mounted and can move in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the steering column, especially to activate the horn. According to the invention, the steering wheel skeleton consists of at least one holder for engagement with at least one section ( ) of the moving contact ( ), and the moving contact ( ) can be blocked in said position of engagement by at least one section ( ) of the moving contact ( ).

A rigid lid for a sliding roof or a sliding-lifting roof, the lid having a lid shell, provided with a peripheral 90.degree. cranked edge, is painted separately from the other parts of the roof construction constituting a pre-assembled unit and is not installed until the pre-assembled unit has been installed into the bodywork of the automobile. The lid shell is secured by detent engagement to the reinforcing frame or to a holding frame fixed thereto after positioning and under the action of force from above. The edge gap sealing profile is secured to the reinforcing frame by pushing on from below before the lid shell is fitted.
