An antenna device includes an antenna body, a circuit board, a joint, a transmission line conductor, and a line conductor. The antenna body includes a magnetic body and a conducting wire wound around the magnetic body in a spiral shape. The joint is disposed on the circuit board and coupled to an end of the conducting wire. The transmission line conductor is coupled to the joint. The line conductor is coupled to one of the end of the conducting wire and the transmission line conductor. At least one of a pattern and a length of the line conductor is changeable to adjust an equivalent impedance value of the antenna body.

An amplifier circuit performs an amplification of a carrier signal received by a transmitting and receiving unit. The amplifier circuit includes an impedance matching circuit that performs matching of an impedance of the amplifier circuit when the transmitting and receiving unit and the amplifier circuit are connected. A superposition wave generating unit generates a superposition wave which is superimposed on the received carrier signal. A driver outputs an amplified carrier signal which is obtained by adding the superposition wave to the received carrier signal. An amplitude detecting unit detects whether the received carrier signal is a predetermined carrier signal superimposed with a predetermined communication signal, based on changes of an amplitude value of the received carrier signal. A method, apparatus, and program for image processing are provided to perform operations for generating an encoded image, detecting image alteration on the encoded image, and regenerating an original image from the encoded image. The encoded image is generated by an encoding apparatus, which inserts a redundant code into an LSB (least significant bit) bit-plane of the original image. The redundant code can be generated based on bit-planes other than the LSB bit-plane, using a CRC (cyclic redundancy check) method. A decoding apparatus recalculates a redundant code from the encoded image, and checks validity of the encoded image based on the extracted redundant code.

A display range control apparatus includes an external storage unit in which position data representative of two points in a horizontal direction on a screen of a raster scan monitor are stored in advance together with still picture pattern data and character data. A counter is incremented for each dot or pixel on the screen. In a range where each of the position data is coincident with a count value of the counter, a masking signal is obtained. The masking signal is used for gating picture data using a gate circuit. The picture data outputted from the gate circuit is converted into a video signal which is then applied to the monitor.
