An acoustic wave device includes a piezoelectric substrate that includes first and second main surfaces, an IDT electrode on the first main surface, a support having a rectangular or substantially rectangular frame shape and including a cavity, first and second sides, and a first corner portion connected to the first and second sides, and the support being provided on the first main surface such that the cavity surrounds the IDT electrode, and a cover on the support and covering the cavity. A straight or substantially straight grinding trace is provided on the second main surface. The grinding trace leads to the first corner portion as viewed in plan. One of an angle between the first side and the grinding trace and an angle between the second side and the grinding trace as viewed in plan is about 9.5&#xb0; or less.

A flexible multilayer substrate includes a stacked body including a plurality of stacked resin layers and defining a flexible portion. The stacked body includes an innermost surface located inside and an outermost surface located outside when the stacked body is bent in use. A plurality of conductor patterns are arranged inside the stacked body to be distributed over a surface of one or more of the plurality of resin layers. A portion located on the innermost surface side with respect to a center plane of the stacked body in a thickness direction is a first portion, and a portion located on the outermost surface side with respect to the center plane is a second portion. An area having a minimum spacing along the longitudinal direction between the conductor patterns arranged in the same plane, in all of the plurality of resin layers, is located in the second portion.

Flexible multilayer substrate

A method for evaluating a degree of dispersion of an inorganic material in a composite material comprising an organic material having dispersed therein the inorganic material, the method comprising the steps of: forming a block sample of the composite material; dividing the block sample into a plurality of unit volume pieces; incinerating each of the unit volume pieces under an oxidative atmosphere; quantitatively determining the ash content of each of the unit volume pieces; and calculating the scatter of the inorganic material content within the plurality of unit volume pieces.
