A front side frame has a first deformation promotion portion to bend and deform a front side frame inwardly in a case where a collision load is applied to a vehicle from a vehicle front side, a front vehicle-body structure further comprises a load transmission portion positioned in front of a suspension housing between the front side frame and an apron reinforcement so as to transmit the collision load to the suspension housing, the load transmission portion being provided to connect the front side frame and the apron reinforcement so as to transmit a tensional load applied in a vehicle width direction between the front side frame and the apron reinforcement, and the load transmission portion has a second deformation promotion portion positioned in the vicinity of the first deformation promotion portion and promoting the bending/deforming of the front side frame.

Front vehicle-body structure of vehicle

A rigid suspension tower structure includes a sus-tower for supporting a damper, and a bracket for mounting a component to be secured to the sus-tower. The sus-tower includes a curved side wall portion joined to a front side frame of a vehicle body and extending upward, and a top portion supporting the upper end of the damper. The side wall portion has a pair of mounting portions made of bulging portions. The mounting portions are formed on mutually different sides in a vehicle front-rear direction with a virtual line interposed therebetween, the line being formed by intersecting the side wall portion and a plane that extends parallel to a vehicle width direction and passes through the central axis of the damper. The bracket straddles the line and is secured to the mounting portions.

Vehicle suspension tower structure

A vehicle front body structure is provided for reliably transferring a collision load to a crash can and a front frame by preventing a bumper beam from buckling during a small overlap collision. Bending rigidity of the bumper beam in a vehicle width direction is such that 1) a bending moment generated on the bumper beam when a collision load in a direction toward a vehicle rear side is applied to an extending section, which extends outward in the vehicle width direction from a crash can fixed section, is the highest in a vehicle width direction inner end portion of the crash can fixed section on a side where the collision load is applied, and 2) the bending moment is continuously reduced as a distance from the vehicle width direction inner end portion in the vehicle width direction increases.

Vehicle front body structure

A front vehicle-body structure comprises a crash can fixed to a front end of a front frame. The crash can comprises an upper face portion, a lower face portion, a pair of side face portions, corner portions respectively positioned between the side face portion and the upper face portion and between the side face portion and the lower face portion, a first fragile portion provided at each of the corner portions, and a second fragile portion provided at each of the side face portions. The first fragile portion is configured to be deformed before the second fragile portion when a collision load applied toward a vehicle rearward side is inputted to an extension portion of a bumper beam. The second fragile portion is configured to be deformed before the front frame when the collision load applied toward the vehicle rearward side is inputted to the extension portion.

A side body structure of a vehicle is provided, which includes a hinge pillar extending in vertical directions of the vehicle, a hinge reinforcement disposed in the hinge pillar, and a reinforcing member disposed in the hinge pillar and extending in the vertical directions. The hinge reinforcement is provided with an overlapping section provided on a rear side of a portion of the reinforcing member and overlapping in the vertical directions with the portion when viewed from a vehicle front side.

Side body structure of vehicle

Provided is a frame structure of a vehicle comprising a front side frame; a reinforcing member disposed in a closed cross section; and an inner bead portion which is formed from a plurality of ridgelines extending vertically on a side wall of the front side frame and projects inwardly into the closed cross section, in which the side wall has the front inclined planar portion which includes a line connecting the upper end portion of the intermediate ridgeline with the middle portion of the front ridgeline; and the rear inclined planar portion which includes a line connecting the upper end portion of the intermediate ridgeline with the middle portion of the rear ridgeline, and the reinforcing member is joined to the front proximal portion and the rear proximal portion of the intermediate ridgeline, which are the front and rear inclined planar portions.

Frame structure of vehicle

A side body structure of a vehicle is provided, which includes a hinge pillar having a hinge pillar member forming, in a side part of the vehicle, a closed section space extending continuously in vertical directions of the vehicle, a side sill having a side sill member forming, on a rear side of the hinge pillar in the side part of the vehicle, a closed section space extending continuously in longitudinal directions of the vehicle, and a closed section space component forming, in a connecting part between a lower end part of the hinge pillar and a front end part of the side sill, a closed section space extending continuously in the longitudinal directions and connecting to the closed section space of the side sill on the rear side, the closed section space of the closed section space component having a vertical dimension that increases toward a front side.

In a lower vehicle-body structure of a vehicle which comprises a suspension cross member, a side member, and first and second reinforcing members which are provided in a closed cross section formed by the side member and a slant portion, the suspension cross member being fixed by fastening a bolt which is inserted through the suspension cross member to a weld nut which is vertically fixed to a bottom plate portion of the side member, the first reinforcing member is joined to a front-side semicircular portion of a peripheral portion of the weld nut and the second reinforcing member is joined to a rear-side semicircular portion of the peripheral portion of the weld nut.

Lower vehicle-body structure of vehicle

Each rear pillar () includes a rear pillar inner panel () and a rear pillar reinforcement (). The rear pillar inner panel () and the rear pillar reinforcement () each include a substantially L-shaped corner portion (C, C) raised toward the rear pillar inner panel (), and a ridge portion (X, X). The corner portions (C, C) are arranged next to each other in the direction toward a reinforcement (), and an L-shaped closed cross section () is formed between the corner portions (C, C). The reinforcement () is, not via the closed cross section, directly connected to the corner portions (C, C). An upper portion of the L-shaped closed cross section () is connected to a closed rear header cross section ().

Rear body structure for automobiles

A vehicle side body structure is provided, which includes a hinge pillar having inner and outer hinge pillar members forming, in a vehicle side part, a closed section space extending in vehicle vertical directions, a side sill having a member forming, on a rear side of the hinge pillar, a closed section space extending in vehicle longitudinal directions, and a closed section space component forming a closed section space extending continuously in the longitudinal directions along an outer surface of the inner hinge pillar member and connecting to the closed section space of the side sill on the rear side. The inner hinge pillar member is formed with a bend-facilitating portion adjacently disposed on the front side of a front end of the closed section space component, extending vertically continuously or intermittently, and protruding outwardly due to a stress concentration by a frontal impact load applied to the hinge pillar.

A floor panel, a rear end member which is provided at a rear portion of the floor panel and extends in a vehicle width direction, and a rear end trim which covers a surface on a baggage-compartment side of the rear end member are provided. A step portion is formed at a connection portion connecting an upper portion of the rear end member and a lower portion of the rear end member which is positioned in front of and below the upper portion. An opening is formed at the step portion. An attachment portion, by which the rear end trim is attachable to the rear end member, is provided at the rear end trim. This attachment portion is configured to be inserted from above into the opening for engagement.
