The fuser is associated with operation history information. The ionizer of the collecting device includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The ionizer generates a discharge between the first electrode and the second electrode so as to charge floating particles that are discharged from the fuser. The particle filter of the collecting device collects the charged floating particles. The controller controls a current to flow between the first electrode and the second electrode due to the discharging, based on the operation history information of the fuser.

Image forming apparatus and method for reducing airborne particles

A particle collection system of an imaging apparatus includes an air flow generation device to generate an air flow for transporting airborne particles, a charging device that is located upstream of the air flow generation device in a ventilation direction to charge the floating fine particles in the air flow, and a particle collection device that is located downstream of the charging device in the ventilation direction to collect the airborne particles which are charged by the charging device. The charging device includes a discharging electrode and a counter electrode, and the particle collection device includes a tubular ventilation passage. A length of the tubular ventilation passage in the ventilation direction is greater than an opening diameter of the tubular ventilation passage, and the opening diameter of the tubular ventilation passage is less than or equal to a gap between the discharging electrode and the counter electrode.

An abnormality detection device includes: a coupling-capacitor having a first-end and a second-end coupled with a high-voltage circuit; a signal output unit; a signal extraction unit; and a signal input unit. The signal output unit is coupled with the first-end of the coupling-capacitor via a detection-resistor, and outputs an alternating-current inspection-signal. The signal extraction unit extracts the inspection-signal, as an extraction-signal, output between the detection-resistor and the coupling-capacitor. The signal extraction unit includes a signal removing filter and a subtraction circuit. The subtraction circuit outputs a differential signal, as the extraction-signal, between a signal having passed through the filter and a signal not having passed through the filter.

In the present invention, when charging both a high-voltage battery and a low-voltage battery by means of electrical power obtained by means of solar generation, by means of prioritizing the charging of the low-voltage battery over the charging of the high-voltage battery, a decrease in charging efficiency of the battery overall is suppressed. The vehicle-mounted power source device charges batteries by means of electrical power obtained by means of solar generation. A solar panel converts sunlight into electrical power. A DC/DC boost converter boosts the power converted by the solar panel. A control unit causes switching in a manner so that the high-voltage battery is charged by the electrical power boosted by the DC/DC boost converter when charging the low-voltage battery by means of the power converted by the solar panel and the amount of accumulated electrical power accumulated at the low-voltage battery is at least a predetermined value.

The vehicle-mounted power source device comprising: a low-voltage battery; a high-voltage battery; a boost unit that boosts electrical power for charging the high-voltage battery; a solar panel that converts solar light to electrical power; a bi-directional buck-boost unit that boosts/bucks the electrical power converted by the solar panel; and a control unit that performs control in a manner so as to charge the low-voltage battery by means of electrical power of which the voltage has been altered by the buck-boost unit. The isolation region defines active areas extending in a 1st direction and having 1st and 2nd active areas, an isolation region extending in a 2nd direction perpendicular to the 1st direction exists between the 1st and 2nd active areas. 1st and 2nd word lines extending in the 2nd direction are buried in a surface of semiconductor substrate. 1st and 2nd select transistors connected to the word lines are on the 1st active area. 1st and 2nd variable resistance elements connected to drain regions of the 1st and 2nd select transistors are on the 1st active area.
