A vehicle control system includes a terminal including a storage unit to store additional function information generated by software configured to add a new function to functionality of at least one electronic device mounted on a vehicle and a first communication unit to output the additional function information, and a vehicle control device including a second communication unit to communicate with the terminal through the first communication unit and configured to add a new function to the at least one electronic device based on the additional function information obtained from the terminal through the second communication unit.

Vehicle control system and vehicle control method

A vehicle control device includes an actuation unit that actuates an anomaly control switch that acknowledges execution of safety control, which improves safety during driving of a vehicle, upon detection of an occupant in an anomalous state from a monitoring result of a state of the occupant of the vehicle. The actuation unit causes the anomaly control switch to be actuated to allow the occupant to recognize a control content of the safety control. The vehicle control device further includes an operation acknowledgement unit that acknowledges operation of the anomaly control switch and a controller that executes the safety control when the operation acknowledgement unit acknowledges the operation of the anomaly control switch.

A touch input device includes a touch input part that is installed on a vehicle and includes a tabular panel to be touch-operated and an actuator causing a vibration of the panel; and a control unit that performs at least one of a first control and a second control, the first control driving the actuator such that the panel vibrates in response to touch operations, and the second control driving the actuator such that the panel vibrates at an audible band. The touch input device is positioned such that a directivity of a sound emitted from the panel is increased toward an ear of an occupant of the vehicle.

A tonneau cover device moves a tonneau cover, which is coupled to a hatchback door of a vehicle, between an extension position and a storage position. The tonneau cover device includes a detection unit and a controller. The detection unit detects whether a pre-operation for opening the hatchback door has been performed. The controller permits movement of the tonneau cover to the extension position when a courtesy switch, which is arranged in the vehicle, detects that the hatchback door is closed and the detection unit does not detect that the pre-operation has been performed. The controller restricts movement of the tonneau cover to the extension position when the courtesy switch detects that the hatchback door is closed and the detection unit detects that the pre-operation has been performed.

Tonneau cover device

A tonneau cover device includes a tonneau cover attached to a hatchback door. A movable guide is arranged on the tonneau cover and is guided by a fixed guide, which is arranged in a vehicle. The tonneau cover moves to an extension position when the hatchback door closes and a storage position when the hatchback door opens. A detector detects whether movement of the tonneau cover is obstructed due to contact with an object. A controller moves the tonneau cover to where the movable guide can come into contact with the fixed guide in a state in which the hatchback door is open when the detector detects that the movement of the tonneau cover to the storage position has been obstructed.

A tonneau cover device includes a tonneau cover coupled to a hatchback door. A movable guide arranged on the tonneau cover is guided by a fixed guide arranged in the vehicle to guide the tonneau cover. The movable guide is separated from the fixed guide when the hatchback door opens. A controller moves the tonneau cover to an extension position when the hatchback door closes and a storage position when the hatchback door opens. A detector detects whether movement of the tonneau cover is obstructed due to contact with an object. The controller temporarily interrupts movement of the tonneau cover when the detector detects that the movement of the tonneau cover to the storage position has been obstructed and restarts the movement of the tonneau cover to the storage position when determining that the movable guide has been separated from the fixed guide as the hatchback door opens.
