A welding torch includes an inner tube of a helically wound wire to define a passage for a welding wire, a conduit in which the inner tube is inserted, the conduit having a curved portion, a torch body including a tip portion and a nozzle, a torch holder having a gas supplying member that supplies a shield gas into a space between the inner tube and the conduit, a feed unit provided upstream of the torch holder to feed the welding wire forward to or backward from the inner tube, and a sealing mechanism for preventing a reverse flow of the shield gas to the feed unit. A gap is defined between the adjacent wires of the inner tube allowing the shield gas to flow therethrough, and permitting wear debris generated by abrasion of the welding wire sliding in the inner tube to be ejected out from the nozzle.

Welding torch

To provide a compact welding torch in which a motor can be easily replaced, in which, when a motor capable of high-speed welding is used for a long time in a high current region, heat generated by the motor can be sufficiently cooled, and in which the motor can be protected from spatters or the like. A first cooler that cools a first side surface of a motor parallel to a shaft of the motor and a second cooler that cools a second side surface of the motor different from the first side surface are included. The first cooler has a first inflow port and a first outflow port for a cooling fluid, and a first flow passage that connects the first inflow port and the first outflow port. The second cooler has a second inflow port and a second outflow port for the cooling fluid, and a second flow passage that connects the second inflow port and the second outflow port. The first outflow port and the second inflow port open in a direction crossing the shaft of the motor and are connected to each other directly or indirectly.

An industrial robot of the present disclosure includes a manipulator, a control device for controlling the manipulator, and a connection cable that connects the manipulator to the control device. The manipulator includes a fixed base section, a first motor, a first detecting section, a power supply section, a first casing, and a first power supply cable. The first motor operates the manipulator. The first detecting section detects the state of the first motor. The power supply section supplies electric power to the first detecting section. The first casing stores the first motor and the first detecting section. The first power supply cable connects the first detecting section to the power supply section. The power supply section is disposed in the base section.

A positioner includes a housing, a table, a drive portion, a cylinder, a first winder, and a first cord. The cylinder includes a first opening at the rotation center of the table, and a second opening opposite and connected to the first opening. The first winder is disposed outside the second opening of the cylinder. The first cord includes a first lead-out portion and a first wound portion. The first lead-out portion enters the second opening, passes through the cylinder, and is led out from the table. The first wound portion is wound around the first winder according to the rotation of the table. Thus, the positioner can increase the number of air tubes or wires led out onto the table without increasing its size.

The present invention provides a toner for electrostatic latent image development and a method of magnetic monocomponent development using the toner which can prevent the toner adhesion to a photoconductor for a long time period and can obtain an image having high quality by maintaining functions of the toner for a long time period or by favorably adjusting the conveying property of the toner on a developing sleeve. In a toner for electrostatic latent image development which contains toner particles and inorganic particles and a method of development using the toner, the toner particles exhibit a shape factor SF-1 which satisfies the relationship 115&#x2266;SF-1&#x2266;150 and a shape factor SF-2 which satisfies the relationship 115&#x2266;SF-2&#x2266;145 and, at the same time, a quantity of inorganic particles which are in a floating state is set to a value which falls within a range from 10 weight % to 25 weight % with respect to the total quantity of the inorganic particles.

Toner for electrostatic latent image development and method of magnetic monocomponent development

The present invention provides a developing method and a developing unit which can obtain a favorable image quality and the like even when a surface roughness Rz of a developing sleeve is changed or when an amorphous-silicon photoconductor is used by allowing the magnetic monocomponent toner to effectively jump to a photoconductor from a developing sleeve. To attain such an object, the present invention provides a magnetic monocomponent jumping developing system and a developing unit which uses the method, wherein as the magnetic monocomponent toner, a toner having a volume center particle size which is calculated from the particle size distribution based on volume and falls within a range from 6.0 to 7.8 &#x3bc;m, having the sphericity which falls within a range from 0.92 to 0.98, and setting a toner quantity having a volume particle size of 5.04 &#x3bc;m or less to a value which falls within a range from 2.5 to 10.0 volume % is used and, at the same time, assuming a toner quantity per unit area of the toner image as A, a following relationship formula (1) is satisfied.0.6 mg/cm&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)

A magnetic toner contains, as a magnetic powder, magnetic iron oxide having an octahedral particle shape and an average particle diameter of 0.21 &#x3bc;m or larger and containing 18% or more by weight of FeO. The magnetic toner is so prepared as to have a bulk density A (g/cm) and a magnetic powder content B (% by weight) that fulfill the formulae 0.8&#x2266;A/B&#xd7;100&#x2266;1.6 and 35&#x2266;B&#x2266;50. This alleviates the reddishness of images produced with the magnetic toner, and alleviates the disturbance of a thin toner layer on a developing sleeve and thus the fogging resulting therefrom.

Method for developing an electrostatic latent image

A developing apparatus has a developer supporting member with a surface roughness R in the range from 3.0 to 5.5 &mgr;m and a one-component developer T with a bulk density in the range from 0.35 to 0.55 g/ml, and an image is developed by forming a layer of the developer T on the developer supporting member . This makes it possible to form a thin toner layer stably despite changes in ambient conditions, and to prevent low image density and fogging. The absolute value of the amount of electric charge with which the developer T is charged is preferably in the range from 3.0 to 10.0 &mgr;C/g. The developer supporting member is made preferably of stainless steel.

The present invention provides a method for impression development which comprises forming a thin layer of a toner on a surface of a developing roller with a plate-like rigid member, and developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoconductor by contacting the thin layer with the electrostatic latent image. The toner comprises toner particles, and prescribed amount of inorganic fine particles (mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 1.0 .mu.m on the volume basis), and/or comprises toner particles which have prescribed distribution of the odd-shape degree of the toner particle (mean value of the odd-shape degree and the proportion of the number of toner particles having the odd-shape degree of not more than 0.2). According to the method for impression development, it becomes possible to form an image having no failures and good image quality.

There is disclosed a positive charging type electrophotographic toner comprising a fixing resin, and a colorant and an electric charge controlling material, which are contained in the fixing resin, the electric charge controlling material being an electric charge controlling resin comprising a polymer which is compatible with the fixing resin, a molecular-weight distribution of the polymer resembling a molecular-weight distribution of a weight-average molecular weight of not more than 20,000 in the molecular-weight distribution of the fixing resin, and a group corresponding to a quaternary ammonium salt being contained at the side chain of the polymer. This toner is superior in charging properties, fixing properties, offset resistance and strength, because a resin having a quaternary ammonium salt group is used as the electric charge controlling material.
