A vehicle control system includes a processing device provided in a vehicle, an application unit (app unit) implemented by execution of an application program by the processing device, a function restriction determining unit determining whether function restriction on the app unit is to be performed based on a used key code, and a function restriction applying unit instructing the app unit to apply a determination result of the determination. The function restriction determining unit determines whether the function restriction on the app unit is to be performed based on a key code of the used electronic key at a plurality of predetermined times, and the function restriction applying unit instructs the app unit to apply the determination result upon activation of the application unit and when a notification of the determination result is received from the function restriction determining unit after the activation.

Vehicle control system and application execution device

A vehicle control device is provided. The vehicle control device includes a terminal device authentication unit that determines whether a terminal device of a user registered as a user of a vehicle, in advance, is present around or within the vehicle. The vehicle control device also includes a communication unit that communicates with the terminal device. Also included in the vehicle control device is a control unit that causes a display device provided in the vehicle to output a screen for setting communication between the communication unit and the terminal device. A smart entry system includes a driver seat unlock sensor and a centralized control unit. The driver seat unlock sensor is provided in the vicinity of the door handle of the door of the driver seat of a vehicle to detect an intention of an operator of unlocking. The centralized control unit, when detecting an operation of the driver seat unlock sensor and establishment of communication with a mobile device carried by the operator in a predetermined communication range in the vicinity of the vehicle, unlocks a driver seat door lock. The centralized control unit, when detecting an operation of the driver seat unlock sensor for less than a predetermined time, unlocks only the driver seat door lock. The centralized control unit, when detecting an operation of the driver seat unlock sensor for the predetermined time or more, unlocks all the door locks.

Smart entry system

A vehicle communication system includes a mobile terminal having a display screen in which display ON and OFF of the display screen can be operated by a user and a vehicle that performs communication with the mobile terminal in a first interval period when a connection has been established. The vehicle has an in-vehicle control unit that, before the connection is established, sends an inquiry signal for establishing the connection to a vicinity of the vehicle in a second interval period. The mobile terminal has a control section that, before the connection is established, performs scanning operation that enables the inquiry signal to be received in a third interval period. The control section can set the third interval period so as to be operational in at least two periods and sets the third interval period to the high-speed mode when the display of the display screen is on.

Vehicle communication system

A remote engine starting system includes a portable terminal that is carried by a user and a vehicle that allows an engine to be started in response to receiving an engine start signal transmitted from the portable terminal. The vehicle periodically transmits a query signal for establishment of a wireless communication link with the portable terminal to a predetermined range surrounding the vehicle to define a predetermined wireless communication area of the vehicle. A control unit of the portable terminal determines, based on whether the wireless communication link with the vehicle is established, whether the portable terminal is within the wireless communication area. The control unit transmits an engine start signal when the portable terminal enters the wireless communication area surrounding the vehicle while automatic start setting is enabled by the user.

Remote engine starting system

A notification device includes an identification information acquisition section that acquires identification information output from an in-vehicle device in response to a change of a vehicle condition, a sound source data acquisition section capable of performing an acquisition operation of acquiring sound source data from an outside, a storage section capable of storing the sound source data for notification acquired by the sound source acquisition section and association data in which the identification information and the sound source data for notification are associated with each other, and a control section that outputs the sound source data for notification on the basis of the association data when the identification information acquisition section acquires the identification information. The sound source data acquisition section and the storage section are provided in a mobile terminal, and the mobile terminal is provided with an association data edit section capable of editing the association data.

Notification device

An alert system includes a vehicle that transmits predetermined verification information within a communication range and a portable terminal that performs a predetermined alert operation on receiving the verification information. The portable terminal includes a control part that stores reference status being status of the vehicle and needing no alert operation. The control part regularly receives the verification information within the communication range. The control part determines that an alert operation is necessary when the portable terminal is moved out of the communication range from inside of the communication range and when a result of comparison between the verification information received immediately before the portable terminal is moved out of the communication range and the reference status stored in advance indicates that the verification information and the reference status are different. The control part performs the alert operation when it is determined that the alert operation is necessary.

Alert system for user of vehicle

A smart entry system for a vehicle having a lockable trunk is provided. The smart entry system includes portable devices, an onboard transmitter for transmitting request signals to the portable devices, an onboard receiver for receiving identification signals from the portable devices, and a trunk lockout protection feature. The trunk lockout protection feature is configured to receive a command signal to either initiate a trunk lockout protection sequence to unlock the trunk in the event that one of the portable devices is locked in the trunk or to disable the trunk lockout protection sequence to permit the trunk to remain in a locked state in the event that one of the portable devices is locked in the trunk.
