Disclosed is an electric power generating apparatus. The electric power generating apparatus includes a casing including an interior space, a permanent magnet that is provided in the interior space and capable of being reciprocated, a coil provided on an outer periphery of the interior space, an electric circuit unit to output a voltage, as an electric energy, generated in the coil by reciprocating the permanent magnet, a detection unit to detect a characteristic of the voltage, and a sound generation unit to generate sound that is associated with at least one of a period and amplitude of the voltage based on a result of detection by the detection unit.

Disclosed is an electric power generating apparatus. The electric power generating apparatus includes a casing that is made of a nonmagnetic material and has an outer surface and an interior space, a guide shaft that is made of a nonmagnetic material and provided in the interior space while being supported by the casing, a permanent magnet provided to the guide shaft so that the permanent magnet is capable of being reciprocated, a coil provided on an outer circumference of the interior space, a shield case to cover the outer surface of the casing, the shield case being made of a magnetic material, and an electric circuit unit to output an electric energy generated in the coil by reciprocating the permanent magnet.

Provided is a fan motor apparatus. The fan motor apparatus includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor includes a blade. The stator includes a rotor supporting mechanism, a supporting member, and a vibration insulation member. The rotor supporting mechanism rotatably supports the rotor. The supporting member supports the rotor supporting mechanism. The vibration insulation member is provided between the rotor supporting mechanism and the supporting member. The stator is capable of regulating relative movement of the rotor supporting mechanism and the supporting member.

An automatic balancing apparatus is disclosed. The automatic balancing apparatus includes a housing, magnetic fluid, and a plurality of balancers. The housing is rotatable. The magnetic fluid is contained in the housing. Each of the plurality of balancers is movable in the housing and has a magnet and a yoke which is mounted thereto and which has a raised portion or a depressed portion formed on an inner circumferential side of a rotation of the housing.

A motor includes a shaft that serves as a rotation center when a rotor is rotated with respect to a stator, a bearing that supports the shaft in a circumferential direction of the shaft, a thrust bearing that supports one end of the shaft in a thrust direction of the shaft, a magnet that is fixed to the rotor and alternately magnetized to different poles in a rotational direction of the shaft, a core that is fixed to the stator and disposed to face the magnet in a radial direction of the shaft, a coil that are wound around the core, and a magnetic shield that shields leakage flux leaking from the magnet to the coil. A magnetic center of the core is offset from a magnetic center of the magnet in the thrust direction, so that the shaft is attracted to the thrust bearing.

An automatic balancing apparatus is disclosed. The automatic balancing apparatus includes a plurality of magnets, magnetic fluid, and a rotatable housing. The magnets function as balancers. The rotatable housing has a moving path disposed along a peripheral direction of the rotation. Each of the magnets is moved through the moving path. The rotatable housing accommodates the magnets and the magnetic fluid.

A disk drive includes a drive unit including a mechanical chassis, a spindle motor for rotating a turn table on which a recording medium disk is supported, and a pickup movable in the radial direction of the recording medium disk supported by the turn table for reproducing and/or recording signals from and/or in the recording medium disk; a base chassis for supporting the drive unit via an elastic body; a self-aligning mechanism including a holder rotatable together with a rotor portion of the spindle motor and a balance member movable in the holder; and a counter weight disposed at a position suitable to allow the center of gravity of the drive unit to be located in conformity to or in proximity to the rotational center of the spindle motor.

Disk drive

Disclosed is a disk rotating mechanism equipped with an automatic aligning mechanism in which the number of parts is reduced and in which an improvement in assembly operability and a reduction in cost are achieved. The automatic aligning mechanism includes a case body made of a non-magnetic material and formed as a flat cylinder with one end surface closed, two or more balance members provided so as to be freely movable in the inner space (movement space) of the case body, and an attracting magnet adapted to attract the balance members when the rotating mechanism is at rest or rotating at low speed, wherein the case body is supported by the spindle shaft of a spindle motor and wherein the closed end surface (table portion) thereof serves as the table portion of a turntable.

Disk rotating mechanism

A rotation sensor inlcudes circuitry for sensing both small units of rotation of a rotating body relative to a stationary body and a predetermined angular orientation of the former to the latter, and is designed to prevent electromagnetic interference between the rotation sensor circuitry (FG) and angular position sensor circuitry (PG). The FG circuit defines a full annular ring about the axis of the rotating body whereas the PG circuit covers a relatively narrow annular sector. The FG and PG circuits lie at different radial positions and do not overlap radially. Corresponding PG and FG magnetic rings fixed to the stationary body opposite the PG and FG circuits consist of annular sectors magnetized to alternating polarities. The symmetrical spacing of the FG magnetic sectors matches the angular spacing of FG circuit elements oriented perpendicular to the magnetic flux generated by adjoining magnetic sectors. The PG magnetic sectors match both the spacing and the total angular extent of the PG circuit. As the PG and FG circuits rotate, the corresponding magnetic sectors induce electric fields, resulting in the desired sensor signals. The PG and FG circuits are connected in parallel to a common electrical terminal. Connections from opposite ends of the FG circuit to the common terminal and to the FG output terminal may be curved so as to maximize their length in the magnetic flux region while minimizing their obliquity to the magnetic flux lines.
