Worm reducer capable of guilding lubricant to maintain function

A torque sensor apparatus capable of suppressing the behavior of a vehicle when the vehicle breaks down even when an adhesive between a magnet and a sleeve is peeled off is provided. The torque sensor apparatus includes a rotor and a stator that are rotatable relative to each other and are respectively fixed to an input shaft and an output shaft. The torque sensor apparatus includes a sleeve, fixed to the input shaft and fixed to the magnet of the rotor; a position regulating portion, disposed on the magnet and restricting a rotational position of the magnet and the sleeve; and a protruding portion, disposed on the sleeve and installed corresponding to the position regulating portion. A front end of the protruding portion is enlarged along a circumferential direction of the sleeve.

An electric power steering device includes a torque sensor provided between a steering wheel and steered wheels mounted on a vehicle body; an assist device that adds an assist force when the steered wheels are steered according to a torque detected by the torque sensor; and a vibration suppressor that outputs a vibration suppressing force from the assist device to suppress a vibration of a steering system according to a signal of a predetermined frequency band of the torque.

An electric power steering device includes: an information obtaining unit that obtains information on a steering torque acting on a steering wheel of a vehicle, speed of the vehicle, a turn angle of the steering wheel, and an actual yaw rate; a setting unit that sets a steering assist control amount relating to an assist motor based a deviation of the actual yaw rate from a norm yaw rate set based on a traveling state of the vehicle; and a steering assist control unit that performs steering assist control using the assist motor based on the information on the steering torque. The steering assist control unit performs the steering assist control based on the steering assist control amount set by the setting unit.

A vehicle steering device includes a positioning clip configured to align a pinion shaft with a joint portion of a steering shaft, wherein the pinion shaft includes a torsion bar and a tubular member having the torsion bar inserted thereinto, an upper end of the torsion bar is axially further away from the joint portion than an upper end of the tubular member, the positioning clip includes an inserted portion to be inserted into the tubular member, and a gap between the inserted portion and the tubular member is sealed.

Vehicle steering device and assembling method thereof

A dual-pinion electric power steering device has: a rack shaft that causes a turnable member to turn; a first pinion shaft to which a steering force from a steering wheel is transmitted; a first rack teeth disposed on the rack shaft and capable of meshing with the first pinion shaft; a second pinion shaft to which a rotational driving force from an assist motor is transmitted; a second rack teeth disposed on the rack shaft and capable of meshing with the second pinion shaft; a first pressing member disposed across the rack shaft from the first pinion shaft and configured to press the rack shaft toward the first pinion shaft; and a second pressing member disposed across the rack shaft from the second pinion shaft and configured to press the rack shaft toward the second pinion shaft. The first pressing member has a lower rigidity than the second pressing member.

Dual-pinion electric power steering device

A power steering apparatus for a vehicle includes a column shaft, a column pipe rotatably supporting the column shaft through a plurality of bearings, and a torque sensor for detecting torque generated on the column shaft by using magnetism. The column pipe is composed of a steel pipe. The torque sensor includes a magnetically variable portion and a magnetic change detector. The magnetically variable portion is disposed on the column shaft and has a magnetic permeability that varies with the torque generated on the column shaft. The magnetic change detector is configured to detect a change in the magnetism of the magnetically variable portion. The magnetic change detector is attached to the column pipe by being inserted in an axial direction through an opening at an axial end of the column pipe.

Power steering apparatus for vehicle and method of producing the same

The steering device includes first and second motors for steering which have common electric characteristics; first and second current sensors detecting first and second current values in the first and second motor, respectively; and abnormality diagnosis units. The abnormality diagnosis units make an abnormality diagnosis indicating that the steering device is abnormal when difference between the first and second current values exceeds a predetermined threshold value. When some abnormality occurs in the current detecting units for detecting the magnitudes of a current flowing through the steering motor, an abnormality diagnosis is rapidly made by comparing the difference with the predetermined value.

Vehicle steering device

A magnetostrictive torque sensor device which detects a torque applied to a rotary shaft is provided. The magnetostrictive torque sensor device includes a magnetostrictive portion provided on a surface of the rotary shaft, a coil and a cylindrical back-yoke disposed in outer periphery of the coil. The coil includes a bobbin arranged in outer periphery of the magnetostrictive portion, and a wire wound around the bobbin. A slit is provided on the back-yoke.

Magnetostrictive torque sensor device, manufacturing method thereof, and vehicle steering apparatus

An electric motor having a rotation shaft includes a motor housing into which the electric motor is accommodated, at least one pair of rolling bearings positioned in the motor housing and rotatably supporting both ends of the rotation shaft, and a displacement restriction member provided inside the motor housing and restricting a displacement of the rolling bearing in an axial direction of the rolling bearing. Each rolling bearing includes an inner race, an outer race, and rolling elements rotatably supported between the inner race and the outer race. The inner race is press fitted without any gaps onto an outer peripheral surface of the rotation shaft, and the outer race is press fitted without any gaps into a bearing attachment portion provided inside the motor housing.

An electric steering system is provided with: a steering torque detection unit which detects a steering torque acting on the shaft; a brushless motor which includes a rotor and a stator having multi-phase stator coils, and generates an assisting torque for assisting the steering torque; a current supply switching unit which drives the brushless motor; a rotary angle estimation unit which outputs an estimated rotary angle; a determination unit which determines whether or not the estimated rotary angle is appropriate by comparison with a direction of the steering torque; and a steering control unit which drives the brushless motor in accordance with the estimated rotary angle determined to be appropriate by the determination unit to control generation of the assisting torque.

A magnetostrictive torque sensor comprising: a magnetostrictive film provided on a ferromagnetic shaft; a bias magnetization device which applies a bias magnetic field to the shaft to magnetize the shaft; and a detection device which detects a change in magnetism of the magnetostrictive film, wherein: a torque acting on the shaft calculated based on the detection results of the detection device; and the bias magnetization device applies a bias magnetic field to the shaft at a predetermined timing.

Magnetostrictive torque sensor and electric steering system

A motor rotation angle detection device includes a resolver which detects a rotation angle of a motor generating an assist torque for steering road wheels. The resolver includes an annular rotor disposed inside an annular stator with an air gap interposed in between an outer circumferential surface of the rotor and an inner circumferential surface of the stator, so that the stator and the rotor are rotatable relative to each other. A rotor supporting member is connected to a rotary shaft of the motor, and the rotor extends out from an axial end portion of the rotor supporting member so as to surround an outer periphery of the rotary shaft. With the described motor rotation angle detection device, it is possible to stabilize the magnetic permeability of the rotor, and accordingly to increase an accuracy with which the rotation angle of the motor is detected.

A magnetostrictive torque sensor includes first and second magnetostrictive films mounted on a pinion shaft and having different magnetic anisotropic properties, a first detecting coil disposed in facing relation to the first magnetostrictive film, a second detecting coil disposed in facing relation to the second magnetostrictive film, a transistor, and a detector for detecting a torque applied to the pinion shaft based on a first detected signal representative of a potential at the junction between the first detecting coil and the second detecting coil.
