A tablet printing apparatus first applies either ultraviolet rays or infrared rays to surfaces of tablets that are being conveyed. The ultraviolet or infrared rays are applied to at least a contour portion of a target area where a print image is to be formed. In the case of applying ultraviolet rays, the surface of the contour portion is roughened, and the angle of contact with ink is reduced. In the case of applying infrared rays, the contour portion is etched into a recessed shape. Thereafter, ink is ejected inside the contour portion. This configuration suppresses the spread of the ejected ink to the outside of the target area. As a result, the print image has a well-defined contour.

Tablet printing apparatus and tablet printing method

A double-integration type A/D converter for performing A/D conversion by integrating an input voltage and a reference voltage is disclosed. The A/D converter includes an integrator configured to integrate the input voltage and the reference voltage; a first switch configured to relay supply of the input voltage to an input terminal of the integrator; a second switch configured to relay supply of the reference voltage to the input terminal; and a control circuit configured to control switching on and off the first switch and the second switch. The control circuit generates a switching signal that switches on and off the first switch and the second switch individually and a switching signal that switches on and off the first switch and the second switch simultaneously. In addition, superimposition of the input voltage and the reference voltage is integrated when the first switch and the second switch are simultaneously switched on.

Double-integration type A/D converter

An imaging apparatus, comprising a holder that holds a specimen container carrying a biological specimen, an imager that images the specimen in the specimen container, a sterilizer that supplies a drug or electromagnetic waves having a sterilization effect to the holder, and a controller that performs a sterilization process of supplying the drug or the electromagnetic waves to the holder by controlling the sterilizer at least either before or after imaging the specimen by the imager.

A preliminary image is obtained by irradiating illumination light, whose light quantity distribution is set at a standard state, to a specimen obtained by injecting fluid into a well from an illuminator capable of arbitrarily setting the light quantity distribution, for example, by a liquid crystal shutter, and a luminance distribution of the preliminary image is detected. As a result, luminance nonuniformity in the preliminary image is canceled by performing imaging with a light quantity distribution of illumination light to be incident on the well set such that an incident light amount is larger in a part with lower luminance.

With respect to any one of processing units, a main transportation path, a developing unit, a dedicated transportation robot and a high-pressure processing unit are disposed linearly in this order in a direction. Liquid for prevention of substrate drying is supplied into a processing chamber so that a pool of the liquid is created as an anti-drying atmosphere in advance inside a processing chamber, and substrates, as they are dipped in the pool, are kept on stand-by in a substrate board. In this manner, air drying of the substrates which are kept on stand-by is prevented. When the number of the substrates in the substrate board reaches a certain number, the anti-drying atmosphere is removed from the processing chamber, which is followed by introduction of an SCF into the processing chamber and supercritical drying (high pressure drying) of all of the plurality of substrates inside the processing chamber, namely, batch supercritical drying.

An apparatus for fabricating a pre-press masking film used for correcting a color printing plate which is slightly tilted by a scanner based on an image edited by a layout system. The apparatus includes a coordinate data input unit for inputting coordinate data defining a trimming frame designated by the layout system, a tilt correcting unit for compensating for the tilt of the color printing plate by correcting the coordinate data, a unit for generating driving signals for forming a pre-press masking film based on the corrected coordinate data, and a cutter unit responsive to the driving signal for forming a pre-press masking film for cutting the masking film.
