In a multilayer coil component, a part filled with a resin and a void part not filled with the resin exist between a plurality of metal magnetic particles in an element body, one main surface of the element body is a mounting surface with respect to an external electronic component, and the edge of an external electrode is positioned on the mounting surface. In the element body, a high void region where the porosity caused by the void part is higher than the porosity of the other part in the element body extends from the edge of the external electrode on the mounting surface toward an end surface of the element body.

Multilayer coil component

An electronic component according to the present invention includes: a leadout electrode portion provided on an outer surface of an element main body; and a resin electrode layer formed at a part of the outer surface of the element main body and connected to the leadout electrode portion. The leadout electrode portion contains copper as a main component, and the resin electrode layer includes a conductor powder containing silver, and a resin. Further, a diffusion layer containing copper oxide and silver is formed at an interface between the leadout electrode portion and the resin electrode layer.

A saddle-type vehicle includes a power unit including a multistage transmission having a plurality of gear positions, a transmission actuating mechanism for changing the gear positions, a shift spindle as an input shaft of the transmission actuating mechanism, a crankcase housing therein the multistage transmission and the transmission actuating mechanism, and a crankcase cover covering a side portion of the crankcase. The shift spindle is disposed in the periphery of the crankcase cover and is coupled to a shift actuator mounted on the crankcase cover by a joint rod. Such saddle-type vehicle having a power unit with a shift spindle movable by a shift actuator, in which the shift spindle and the shift actuator are combined with each other in a small-size layout with a joint rod joining the shift spindle and the shift actuator to each other, allows the joint rod to be installed in position with ease.

Saddle-type vehicle

A transmission includes a shift drum, an angular sensor, and a control unit. The control unit has reference values of the output values at a first rotation angle and a second rotation angle of the shift drum. The control unit is configured to obtain the output values at the first rotation angle and the second rotation angle as a first output value and a second output value, respectively. The control unit is configured to correct the output value output between the first rotation angle and the second rotation angle based on a difference between the first output value and the reference value at the first rotation angle and a difference between the second output value and the reference value at the second rotation angle.

In a transmission device of a saddle riding vehicle arranged in the saddle riding vehicle, including a transmission and an actuator, the transmission including a shift drum, the shift drum rotating and changing shift position, the actuator rotatively driving the shift drum, and controlling the rotation angle of the shift drum by restricting rotation of the shift drum by cogging torque of the actuator, a pattern of an output of the actuator in changing the shift position by one stage is variable.

Transmission device of saddle riding vehicle

A coil device includes a coil portion, an element body, and a terminal electrode. The coil portion is formed by a wire wound in a coil shape. The element body contains the coil portion where a part of an outer circumference of a lead-out part of the coil portion is exposed as an exposed portion from a bottom surface of the element body and where the rest of the outer circumference of the lead-out part of the coil portion is embedded as an embedded portion in the element body. The terminal electrode is formed on the bottom surface of the element body and connected with the exposed portion. An embedded length of the outer circumference of the lead-out part in the embedded portion is larger than a substantially half of a full length of the outer circumference of the lead-out part.

Coil device

A vehicle power unit has a transmission apparatus including a transmission, and a transmission actuating mechanism including a speed reduction gear train having multiple speed reduction stages for transmitting power from a drive gear on a drive shaft of a shift motor to a driven gear on a drum turning shaft of a shift drum. The speed reduction gear train has a speed reduction ratio ranging from 23 to 45, and the shift motor is a DC electric motor that produces a pulsating cogging torque having a maximum value ranging from 0.04 to 0.07 Nm. The vehicle power unit enables the transmission actuating mechanism to be made up of a reduced number of parts and to be simple in structure, making the transmission apparatus small in size, and ensures quicker and smoother gear changes with an electric motor.

Vehicle power unit

In a vehicle power unit, a drum rotary shaft member on one side of a shift drum is provided with a driven gear. A case side wall on one side of an engine crankcase supporting the drum rotary shaft member is covered by a case cover member in opposing relation thereto. A shift motor is mounted to the case cover member, with a driving gear thereof directed to protrude toward the case side wall. A speed reducing gear train has gear shafts and provides a multiplicity of speed reduction stages for transmitting power from the driving gear to the driven gear. The speed reducing gear train is arranged with both ends of its gear shafts thereof supported on the case side wall and the case cover member, respectively. Such arrangement provides a vehicle power unit for a fast and smooth shift by an electric motor.

An electronic device includes a component body and a terminal electrode formed on a mounting surface of the component body. The chamfered part is formed at an intersection between the mounting surface and a side surface of the component body. An edge of the terminal electrode becomes thinner toward the chamfered part.

Electronic device

In a transmission apparatus for a saddle-type vehicle, dowels on first transmission gears are engageable in and disengageable from dowel holes in adjacent second transmission gears to shift gear positions. The first transmission gears are slidable in response to angular movement of a shift spindle caused by operating a shift pedal. Invalid engagement time, during which the dowels and dowel columns are in sliding abutment, at an idling engine rotational speed is in the range from 0 msec. to 40 msec., providing an enhanced feeling for gear shifting operations and reduce hammering noise.

Transmission apparatus for saddle-type vehicle

A vehicle power unit is disclosed which prevents a transmission apparatus from becoming large in size and promotes reduction in size by reducing the number of parts. A transmission shift drum has a driven gear mounted on a shift drum rotary shaft portion on one end of the shift drum. An extended support wall is formed to extend to outside in a vehicle width direction in parallel with a first case side wall of a crankcase. The case side wall supports the first drum rotary shaft portion on which the driven gear is mounted. The extended support wall and the first case side wall support thereon gears of a reduction gear train between a drive gear of a shift motor mounted on the extended support wall and the driven gear.

A coil device includes a conductor and a terminal electrode. The conductor is embedded in a core body and wound in a coil shape. The terminal electrode is formed on an end surface of the core body and connected with a lead end of the conductor. The coil device further includes a dummy conductor embedded in the core body separately from the conductor. An end part of the dummy conductor exposed from the end surface of the core body separately from the lead end is connected with the terminal electrode.

The steering angles of front wheelsand rear wheelsof a vehiclecan be respectively controlled by a front wheel steering angle control actuatorand a rear wheel steering angle control actuator. If a steering wheelis operated in a turning direction of the vehiclewhile the vehicleis traveling in a straight line, then a controllerchanges the steering angle of the front wheelsto approach to a steering angle specified on the basis of an operation amount after the steering wheelis operated, and also controls the front wheel steering angle control actuatorand the rear wheel steering angle control actuatorto change the steering angles of the rear wheelsto the opposite direction of the turning direction of the vehicleimmediately after the steering wheelis operated.

A transmission system for a vehicle has a shift driving mechanism which operates, under control by a control unit, at the time of shifting the gear position, to disengage a transmission gear of a current gear position and a shifter from each other after engaging a transmission gear of a next gear position and a shifter with each other in a condition where a transmission clutch that transmits power to the transmission gear of the next gear position is in an engaged state. This ensures smoother and swifter shifting of gear position.

Transmission system for vehicle

A vehicle includes a vehicle body and a front wheel that is disposed anterior to the vehicle body and that is steerable about a steering axis. The vehicle body includes a vehicle body frame and a steering rotation unit that is supported on the vehicle body frame and that rotates about the steering axis. The vehicle includes a variable trail length mechanism. The variable trail length mechanism includes an oscillation unit that supports front forks that are disposed to be oscillatable in a fore-aft direction and that support the front wheel, and an electric motor that oscillates the oscillation unit. The electric motor is supported by the vehicle body.
