A cooling structure of an internal combustion engine includes: a cooling water introducing port provided on one end side of a cylinder block; and a water jacket provided so as to surround a cylinder bore wall, wherein cooling water is introduced from the cooling water introducing port into the water jacket, the cooling water is branched to flow to a portion on an intake side and a portion on an exhaust side of the water jacket of the cylinder block of the internal combustion engine, and the cooling water is supplied from a cylinder block side to a cylinder head side, the cooling structure of the internal combustion engine, further comprising a first regulation portion that regulates a flow of the cooling water supplied to the cylinder head side.

Cooling structure of internal combustion engine

A production method of a water jacket spacer for use in a cylinder block with a water jacket formed around plural cylinder bores. The method comprises the fist step of integrally forming a tubular spacer body with a peripheral wall and a connecting bridge by way of synthetic resin molding so that corresponding regions of the peripheral wall are connected to each other via the connecting bridge, and the second step of cooling the tubular spacer body, with the connecting bridge fixed thereto, to prevent deformation of the tubular spacer body during the cooling process, and the third step of removing the connecting bridge from the tubular spacer body.

Production method of water jacket spacer

A cooling structure for uniformly cooling a bore wall of a cylinder block using a cooling medium, the bore wall surrounding plural bore regions, includes a water jacket portion which is provided so as to surround an entire outer periphery of the bore wall, and which is supplied with the cooling medium; and a water jacket spacer which is inserted in the water jacket portion such that a space is provided between the bore wall and the water jacket spacer. The cylinder block includes an inter-bore region which is positioned in a vicinity of a boundary between the bore regions adjacent to each other, and a region other than the inter-bore region; and a cross sectional area of the space between the bore wall and the water jacket spacer in the inter-bore region is smaller than a cross sectional area of the space between the bore wall and the water jacket spacer in the region other than the inter-bore region.

Cooling structure of cylinder block

A cooling structure for uniformly cooling a bore wall of a cylinder block using a cooling medium, the bore wall surrounding plural bore regions, includes a water jacket portion which is provided so as to surround an entire outer periphery of the bore wall, and which is supplied with the cooling medium; a water jacket spacer which is inserted in the water jacket portion; a passage through which the cooling medium in a portion of an inter-bore region is transferred to another portion of the inter-bore region, the inter-bore region being positioned in a vicinity of a boundary between the bore regions adjacent to each other; and a flow promotion device which increases a flow rate of the cooling medium flowing in the passage.

A cooling structure of a cylinder block includes a water jacket portion which is provided so as to surround an entire outer periphery of the bore wall; a water jacket spacer which is inserted in the water jacket portion; and a gasket which is provided in an upper portion of the cylinder block, and which includes a hole leading to the water jacket portion. The water jacket portion is supplied with coolant. A distance between a center of the hole and an outer periphery of the cylinder block is shorter than a distance between a center of the water jacket spacer in a thickness direction and the outer periphery of the cylinder block. In the cooling structure, the cylinder block can be uniformly cooled.

A cooling structure of a cylinder block includes a water jacket portion which is provided so as to surround an entire outer periphery of a bore wall; and a water jacket spacer which is inserted in the water jacket portion. A foreign matter collecting mechanism which collects foreign matter is provided in a bottom portion of the water jacket portion.

A flow rate control valve reduced in size and improved in mountability has a structure comprising a communicating passage which has openings on opposite ends and includes valve seats which surround the respective openings, an outflow port which communicates with an intermediate portion of the communicating passage, a first valve disk disposed at a corresponding position to one of the valve seats, a diaphragm connected to the first valve disk, a diaphragm chamber formed on one side of the diaphragm, a spring which urges the first valve disk in the valve closing direction, a second valve disk disposed at a corresponding position to the other valve seat, an electromagnetic solenoid which opens/closes the second valve disk, a valve chamber formed around the second valve disk, and an inflow port which communicates with the diaphragm chamber and the valve chamber.

Flow rate control valve

An exhaust gas flow control valve for an internal combustion engine comprises a body, a diaphragm actuator and a bracket. The body is equipped with an exhaust passage and a valve member arranged in the exhaust passage. The bracket is equipped with an actuator mounting seat for mounting the diaphragm actuator and a body mounting seat connected to the body. The diaphragm actuator is equipped with a casing connected to the actuator mounting seat of the bracket, a diaphragm cased in the casing and a rod protruding from the diaphragm and out of the casing for actuating the valve member in accordance with the action of the diaphragm. Between the actuator mounting seat of the bracket and the diaphragm of the diaphragm actuator, moreover, there is formed an insulating layer for insulating the heat to be transferred to the diaphragm.

Exhaust gas flow control valve for internal combustion engine

A step motor of the linear type is composed of a shaft threadedly engaged with an inner hole provided in a rotor and is driven in the axial direction by rotation of the rotor. A bearing for slidably supporting the shaft for axial movement is installed in a rear cover for covering the rear end of the shaft and an enclosing member for the rear end of the shaft is formed in the rear cover. A spring shoe and a coil spring are fitted to the rear end of the shaft enclosed in the enclosing member. Consequently, the assembly of the coil spring and the spring shoe becomes simple, and the coil spring is not exposed. The form of the front portion of the step motor is made more compact in comparison to that of the prior art where the coil spring is externally installed to the front end of the shaft.
