A composite molding is formed by welding and joining a foam to a substrate made of a synthetic resin, the foam including a hard skin layer and a foamed layer formed by foaming a foamable synthetic resin in an unhardened state within the skin layer as the pressure of a cavity is decreased, wherein the skin layer includes a cover covering the foamed layer and a collar projecting outward from the edge of the cover on the substrate side while being directly welded and joined to the surface of the substrate. Therefore, the edge of the skin layer on the substrate side can be adequately hardened, thereby enabling adequate formation of the foamed layer and adequate welding between the foam and the substrate.

An impact absorbing member includes a plurality of synthetic resin foams arranged in a stack, the foams being formed from a hard skin layer and a foamed layer formed within the skin layer, thereby enhancing the productivity in manufacture of the impact absorbing member for a vehicle.

Impact absorbing member for vehicle

An air conditioner outlet vent device in which one of a blade and a housing is molded as a primary molding having a shaft hole by primary injection using a first synthetic resin, the other is molded, within a secondary mold die where the primary molding has been set, as a secondary molding having a support shaft by secondary injection using a second synthetic resin so that the shaft hole and the support shaft are fitted together at the same time as they are molded, thereby enabling the blade to pivot within the housing. The first and second synthetic resins are of the same synthetic resin system, and an additive for suppressing shrinkage in cooling and solidifying it after injection molding is added to the first synthetic resin so that the percentage mold shrinkage of the shaft hole becomes smaller than that of the support shaft.

Air conditioner outlet vent device

A warning system for an internal combustion engine that is not provided with external source of electric power and which indicates a malfunction or abnormal condition in the engine. The warning system is operated from the engine ignition circuit upon initial starting to provide self checking.
