An air conditioner includes: an air blower configured to take air from an inlet, and to blow the air from an outlet; a filter configured to purify the air; a first chamber and a second chamber taking the air purified by the filter; a humidification filter provided in the second chamber, and humidifying the air taken into the second chamber; and a divider opening and closing an opening that provides communication between the first chamber and the second chamber, and adjusting a volume of the air taken from the first chamber into the second chamber. The air taken from the first chamber into the second chamber and/or the air taken into the second chamber is blown from the outlet.

Air conditioner

An air purifier includes: a housing; a fan in the housing; an outlet in a top face of the housing, air being blown out via the outlet; an air passage spatially connecting the fan to the outlet; and an illumination unit configured to illuminate the air passage, wherein the air passage includes an upstream, first air passage and a downstream, second air passage, the first air passage extends upwards, the second air passage has a curved surface or an inclined surface inclined with respect to the first air passage, and the illumination unit illuminates the curved surface or the inclined surface.

Air purifier

An ion diffusing apparatus is disclosed which can maintain a stable ion supplying capability. In the ion diffusing apparatus, the ion generator is detachable for easy maintenance and can deliver the positive ions and negative ions to a remote position while uniformly generating positive ions and negative ions. The ion diffusing apparatus includes an ion generator housing which houses the generator so that a positive ion generating part and a negative ion generating part are provided separately in a direction crossing a flow direction of a stream from a fan, and an ion generating surface is exposed which conforms to a stream flow surface of a stream flow passage extended from the fan to a supply opening. The ion generator may also be a cartridge which has an ion generating surface shaped to conform to the stream flow surface of the stream flow passage.

Ion diffusing apparatus and ion generating cartridge

An air cleaner includes an ion generator arranged in a path from an inlet port to an outlet port, a humidifying filter arranged in the path at a position closer to the inlet port than the ion generator, a dust sensor and an odor sensor for detecting impureness of air, and a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor. When impureness is detected by the dust sensor and the odor sensor and when the temperature and the humidity attain a specific state (YES at Sto S), a fan motor is driven such that water is supplied to the ion generator in an amount larger than when the specific state is not attained (S).

Air conditioning apparatus

An air conditioning apparatus incorporates an ion generating device that generates positive and negative ions by applying an alternating-current voltage between electrodes. The generated positive and negative ions coexist in the air and, when they attach to the surfaces of airborne bacteria, they react chemically with each other and generate radical hydroxyl and hydrogen peroxide, which extract hydrogen atoms from the cells of the bacteria and thereby kill them. This sterilizing effect is combined with the temperature-conditioning, dehumidifying, humidifying, air-purifying, and other functions of the air conditioning apparatus to bring about a comfortable and healthful indoor environment.
