There are provided a control device of an image reading apparatus, an operation method and an operation program thereof, and an image detection system capable of quickly and easily outputting an image having an appropriate density for analysis from an image reading apparatus. An image receiving unit receives a pre-image output in pre-scanning performed before main scanning for outputting a main image for analysis in an image reading apparatus. A region information receiving unit receives information of a region in the pre-image designated by a user. A calculation unit calculates an appropriate voltage value that is a voltage value of the photomultiplier at which a density of the region becomes an appropriate density for analysis. A scanning conditions setting unit sets the appropriate voltage value as temporary scanning conditions of main scanning.

Control device of image reading apparatus, operation method thereof, and image detection system

Disclosed is an imaging system which includes an imaging device to be used by multiple users, allows each user to perform imaging at an appropriate timing, and is capable of efficiently using the imaging device. An imaging system includes an imaging device, a plurality of terminal devices, and an authorization unit which gives the terminal devices the authority to specify controllable functions of the imaging device. The authorization unit switches between a first state where the terminal devices are given a first authority to exclusively occupy a part of functions of the imaging device with a controllable state and a second state where one terminal device is given a second authority to exclusively occupy and control the part of functions and to release the occupation, and the terminal devices other than one terminal device are given a third authority with the restriction of the control of the part of functions.

Imaging system

Disclosed is a barrier film capable of maintaining a high water vapor barrier property when folded. The film is characterized in that it has a structure in which an easy adhesive layer, an organic layer and an inorganic layer are laminated in that order on one surface or both surfaces of a plastic film, wherein a center liner average roughness of the surface of the organic layer on the inorganic layer side is at least 0.5 nm, and the organic layer contains a resin which is obtained by curing an acrylic monomer having at least two acryloyl groups and at least two urethane groups in one molecule as a polymerizable component.

A first adhesion layer and a second adhesion layer are formed on a base material formed of polyester biaxially stretched in this order from the side of the base material. Additionally, a hard coat layer and an antireflection layer are formed on the second adhesion layer to form a multilayer film. Optical multilayer film and image display device

A coating liquid for a recording layer, containing fumed silica of a bulk density higher than 50 g/l and a specific surface area by the BET method equal to or higher than 250 m/g, and a recording medium having a recording layer prepared with such coating liquid. The recording layer contains a water-soluble resin, which is preferably crosslinked.

A multilayer film is produced by forming a first and a second layers consecutively on at least one surface of a biaxially stretched polyester base. The first layer contains particles and a binder both composed mainly of either tin oxide, indium oxide, zirconium oxide, or titanium oxide. When the refractive indexes of the base, the first layer, and the second layer are represented by &#x3b7;, and &#x3b7;respectively, the first layer and the second layer are adjusted for the refractive index such that the differences |&#x3b7;| and |&#x3b7;| are both not greater than 0.03. Adhesive strength is therefore kept high between the base and the layers to eliminate light interference, and the multilayer film offers an excellent optical property with few color rainbow effect.

The present invention provides a method for preparing an ink-jet recording sheet including a support and a colorant receiving layer disposed on the surface of the support, and an ink-jet recording sheet prepared by the method. The method including: coating a coating solution including inorganic fine particles, a water-soluble resin and a boron compound on the surface of the support to form a coated layer; and cross-linking and hardening the coated layer to form a colorant receiving layer. The cross-linking and hardening is performed by applying a solution containing a metal compound and having a pH of 8 or higher to the coated layer or a coated film at one of: (1) simultaneous as coating the coating solution; (2) during drying of the coated layer and before the coated layer shows a falling rate of drying; or (3) after the coated layer is dried to form the coated film.

FINE PARTICLE DISPERSION, COATING SOLUTION FOR ACCEPTING LAYER FOR COLORING AGENT FOR INK-JET RECORDING SHEET, INK-JET RECORDING SHEET USING THE DISPERSION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FINE PARTICLE DISPERSION

An inkjet recording sheet comprising a support and, on a surface of the support, a colorant-receiving layer formed by applying a first coating liquid, adding a second coating liquid, after application of the first coating liquid and before the same shows a decreasing rate of drying, and thereafter hardening and drying the coat layer to form a porous structure. The first coating liquid has a pH value of 5 or lower, and is obtained by adding a solution which includes polyvinyl alcohol, a nonionic surfactant and/or amphoteric surfactant and a high boiling point organic solvent, to a dispersion including a cationic resin and vapor-phase-process silica having a specific surface area of at least 200 m /g as measured by the BET method. The second coating liquid has a pH value of 8.5 or higher and includes a cross-linking agent capable of cross-linking the polyvinyl alcohol, an organic mordant and a nonionic surfactant.

Inkjet recording sheet

An image recording sheet and image forming processes employing the image recording sheet are disclosed. The image recording sheet has a high glossiness and forms on its surface an image of a high quality, especially from the viewpoint of a high glossiness and a good graininess. The image recording sheet is composed of a transparent support film, a transparent image-receiving layer provided on one surface of the support film, and a white coated layer provided on the other surface of the support film. The image recording sheet is employable for forming a glossy image on its surface by ink-jet recording, electrophotography, or thermal transfer recording.

A recording sheet for ink-jet recording has a transparent support and a transparent colorant-receptive layer, in which the colorant-receptive layer is composed of crosslinked polymer particles having a mean particle diameter of not more than 200 nm and a water-soluble resin, and has a transmittance of not lower than 80%. Another recording sheet for ink-jet recording has an opaque support having a high gloss and the transparent colorant-receptive layer having a gloss of not lower than 70%.

Recording sheet and image forming method

A recording sheet for ink-jet recording, thermal transfer recording or electrographic recording comprises a transparent support and a transparent colorant-receptive layer, in which the colorant-receptive layer has a void volume of 50-80%, in which the network structure is formed of silica fine particles having a mean primary particle diameter of 10 nm or less and a water-soluble resin, and the weight ratio of silica fine particles/the water-soluble resin is in the range of 1.5/1 to 10/1.
