A transaction processing system includes an application server having a transaction processing unit, a process monitoring unit, a database server having a database, and a database management unit. The transaction processing unit sends a transaction identifier for identifying the transaction to the database management unit, requests a session process, and outputs the transaction identifier to the process monitoring unit. A monomer such as butadiene monomer and/or styrene monomer is polymerized using an organic lithium initiator, and the active terminal of a (co)polymer thus obtained is modified with a specific modifier having reactivity with a silica surface, e.g., .gamma.-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane and .gamma.-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, and then the terminally-modified (co)polymer is mixed with a silica in an organic solvent. These derivatives having good compatibility with siliceous fillers and when blended with filled diene rubbers are cured to elastomer compositions having excellent properties suitable for the production of tires.

Disclosed is an intermediate transfer member disposed between an image forming body and a recording medium, for transferring and holding a toner image formed on a surface of the image forming body onto a surface of the intermediate transfer member once and then transferring the toner image onto the recording medium, the intermediate transfer member including: a rubber composition, wherein the state of occurrence of cracks in the rubber composition after the rubber composition imparted with 20% of elongation has been exposed for 120 hours to an environment with an ozone concentration of 10 ppm and with a temperature of 40.degree. C. is specified such that no crack is seen, or the number of cracks and the depth of cracks satisfy a specific evaluation standard.

A heat resistant pneumatic tire whose tread is composed of a rubber composition comprising, as a main rubber component, a modified, conjugated diene based polymer prepared by adding an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent hydrogen atom, halogen atom, or an alkyl, alkenyl or allyl group having at most 5 carbon atoms, or a substituted alkyl, alkenyl or allyl group, to a conjugated diene based polymer in an amount within the range between 0.1% and 5.0% based on the weight of the conjugated diene based polymer. This tire is suitable for continuous running at high temperatures and maintains a good road-surface-grip performance even during such running.

There is provided a polyaniline having a thickness of 0.3 to 5 mm which is suitable for an electronic material, particularly for an electrode material in a cell. Also provided is a cell comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte in which the polyaniline having a thickness of 0.3 to 5 mm is employed in at least one of the positive and negative electrodes, the cell having a high energy density and good cell performance stable for a long period of time.
