A photoelectric sensor has a light projection unit having a light emission element for emitting detection light to a detection region; a light reception unit having a light reception element receiving light from the detection region to obtain a detection value corresponding to an amount of received light; a target value storage unit for storing an adjustment target value for a detection value; a sensitivity adjustment unit for adjusting a power of the detection light emitted from the light projection unit and/or a conversion factor from the amount of received light in the light reception unit to the detection value, thereby matching the detection value with the target value; and an adjustment instruction unit for instructing execution of adjustment to the sensitivity adjustment unit.

Photoelectric sensor having sensitivity adjustment device

A sensor system includes a plurality of sensor bodies arranged aligned and adjacent to each other, each of said sensor bodies being connected to an electric cord including at least a signal line via a connector. Each connector has a power feed terminal, and a detachable fitting for electrically connecting the power feed terminals of the connectors is provided between the connectors. The power supplied to the connector of any of the sensor body through the power feed line in the electric cord is distributed to the power feed terminal of another sensor body through a row of connectors. By this configuration, the number of power feed lines for the overall system can be significantly reduced, and common bodies not distinguished for the main and sub bodies can be used as the sensor bodies, whereby the cost can be reduced and inventory management can be facilitated. Further, when any of the sensor bodies fails, it is possible to simply exchange the failed sensor body only, while maintaining the use of the electric cord that has been used.

Sensor system and connector used therefor

An optical fiber photoelectric sensor unit comprising: two sets of light-emitting and light-receiving circuits corresponding to a first and second detection channels; a single CPU which performs detecting operations of the two detection channels by time sharing; two output lines corresponding to the two detection channels; four fiber inlets aligned vertically on the front surface, a first and second digital display parts which each display a string of digits in the longitudinal direction of the case and which are aligned on the top surface in the longitudinal direction of the case.

Optical fiber photoelectric sensor unit

Provided is a sensor system which allows setting and adjustment to be conducted in a simple manner. The sensor system comprises a plurality of sensor units which are adapted to be placed closely one next to another and each assigned with an individual address, and a mobile console which is adapted to be connected to at least one of the sensor units, each of the sensor units comprising a connector provided on each side for allowing communication with a corresponding one of the adjacent sensor units, and a data relaying arrangement for relaying data received from one of the adjacent sensor units via one of the connectors to the other adjacent sensor unit via the other connectors when the data is not intended for the particular sensor unit so as to permit a data communication from the mobile console to the sensor units or from the sensor units to the mobile console.

Sensor unit for use in a multiple sensor unit array

A received light level is displayed by a plurality of LEDs of a received light level display device like a bar graph. A set threshold value is indicated by a plurality of LEDs of a threshold value display device in correlation with the bar graph display. Adjustment of the threshold value is performed stepwise.
