A synchronization device includes: a machine data acquisition unit acquiring, as machine data, time-series information regarding driving of a machine; a measurement data acquisition unit acquiring, as measurement data, time-series information regarding a state of the machine; a correlation calculation unit calculating a correlation time difference which is a time difference when the strength of correlation between the machine data and the measurement data is maximum on the basis of the machine data, the measurement data, and a time difference when any one of the machine data and the measurement data is staggered in a positive or negative direction of a time axis; a synchronized data output unit outputting the machine data synchronized with the measurement data and the measurement data synchronized with the machine data on the basis of the correlation time difference.

A method of manufacturing a vibration type driving apparatus comprising an elastic member which, in use, is excited with a vibration that sets a moving member into motion relative to the vibrating elastic member. The method includes providing a friction member on at least one of the elastic member and the moving member, and pressing the friction member between a mold and the at least one of the elastic member and the moving member forming a smooth contacting surface on the friction member.

Method of manufacturing a vibration type driving apparatus

Provided is a road surface friction coefficient measuring method and device for measuring the friction coefficient of road surfaces such as roads and runways, and which can be used by being mounted on a general car. This device has a spindle detachably connected to the wheel of a travelling wheel of a car, a support arm oscillatably connected to the spindle, and a measuring wheel supported rotatably by the support arm. Provided to the support arm are a vertical load generating mechanism for applying a vertical load to be added to the self weight of the measuring wheel , a first detection unit for detecting the vertical load that is applied to the measuring wheel from the road surface, a rotation transmission mechanism for transmitting to the measuring wheel the rotation of the spindle so as to provide a circumferential velocity difference between the travelling wheel and the measuring wheel, and a second detection unit for detecting the rotational resistance incurred by the measuring wheel from the road surface. The road surface friction coefficient is calculated with a computing unit based on the self weight of the measuring vehicle including the detected values of these detection units and the arm.

Road surface friction measuring method and device therefor

An image shake detecting device for detecting a shake of an image on an image sensing plane on the basis of a video signal output from an image sensor includes detection circuits arranged to detect image displacement in a plurality of areas set on the image sensing plane, and a control microcomputer which makes a discrimination, on the basis of information output from these detection circuits, between a movement of a camera and a solo movement of a photographed object. The device thus accurately makes compensation for an image shake by judging the state of the image on the basis of information output from these detection circuits. The image shake detecting device further includes a computing circuit arranged to compute a quantity of an image shake on the basis of a difference in detecting timing of a feature point of the image and a sensitivity control circuit arranged to change the detection sensitivity of the shake detection circuits. Further disclosed is an object tracing device to which the invented image shake detecting device is applied.

The prevent invention relates to an optical device capable of varying the angle formed by a pair of optical elements. The optical device comprises a pair of support members having portions for preventing the optical elements from slipping outwardly, and for supporting the optical elements, a connection member for forming a watertight space, the connection member being adhesively secured to the support members and being deformable, and a transparent substance filling the watertight space.

Optical device for deflecting light

In an optical element, an optically transparent substance is sandwiched between transparent paired plate-shaped elements by utilizing a connection member capable of deforming, and the angle formed by the paired plate-shaped elements is caused to vary by a force applied thereto from the outside, so that a predetermined optical characteristic for the passing light rays is obtained. An optical recording medium is disclosed which comprises a substrate containing a polycarbonate resin and a recording layer. A process for manufacturing a substrate sheet for information recording mediums using a roll stamper including a flexible stamper member having a pattern corresponding to a preformat for an information recording medium, a first fixing member and a second fixing member integrally joined to both ends of the stamper member, and a pair of fit grooves capable of fittingly receiving the fixing members and formed in the periphery of a specular roll substrate in parallel to the axial direction of the specular roll substrate. The fixing members are fitted to the fit grooves so the stamper member is fixed along the periphery of the specular roll substrate between fit grooves. The first fixing member has a first member with a coefficient of linear expansion substantially equal to the coefficient of linear expansion of the stamper member and a second member having a larger coefficient of linear expansion than the coefficient of linear expansion of the first member. The first member is joined to the stamper member and the second member is positioned inside the first member with respect to the second fixing member. The roll stamper is set up to satisfy the relationship of expression (1):

Process for manufacturing a substrate sheet for information recording

A method for preparing a substrate sheet for an optical recording medium has the steps of controlling a roll stamper having a preformat pattern on the peripheral surface thereof and a molding roll disposed with a predetermined gap between the same and the roll stamper so that they have a predetermined temperature, feeding a thermoplastic resin heated to a predetermined temperature to the gap from a means for extruding the thermoplastic resin disposed on the upstream side of the gap, while the roll stamper and the molding roll are rotated at a predetermined rotational frequency, and then molding the thermoplastic resin into a sheet by pressing the resin between the roll stamper and the molding roll to transfer the preformat pattern to the resin. The method is characterized in that the molding is carried out under molding conditions regulated so that continuously measured gap temperatures of the substrate sheet may periodically fluctuate in a predetermined amplitude and so that the amplitude may accord with a previously set value of an amplitude corresponding to a desired transfer precision and birefringence value of the substrate sheet for the optical recording medium.

Method and apparatus for preparing substrate sheet for optical recording

A roll stamper for forming a substrate sheet for information recording mediums has a flexible stamper member having a pattern corresponding to a preformat for an information recording medium; a first fixing member and a second fixing member respectively joined to both ends of the stamper member in an integral form; and a pair of fit grooves capable of fittingly receiving the fixing members, formed in the periphery of a specular roll substrate in parallel to the axial direction of the specular roll substrate. The fixing members are so fitted to the fit grooves that the stamper member is fixed along the periphery of the specular roll substrate between the fit grooves. The first fixing member has a first member showing a coefficient of linear expansion substantially equal to the coefficient of linear expansion of the stamper member and a second member having a larger coefficient of linear expansion than the coefficient of linear expansion of the first member. The first member is joined to the stamper member and the second member is positioned inside the first member with respect to the second fixing member.
