An electronic device that increases both visibility and selectability of executable programs. The electronic device includes a touch panel display having an elongated shape, a memory storing programs, and a processor controlling program execution and the display. The touch panel includes a first display region and a second display region contiguous with and narrower than the first display region. The display displays an execution image of a first program in the first display region and an icon image of a second program in the second display region in a smaller display area than the execution image. When the processor detects contact at the icon image and detects that the contact moves towards the first display region, the processor causes the display to display an execution image of the second program in the first display region.

Electronic device

An electronic device that increases both visual perceptibility and selectability of executable programs. A display is a display with an elongated shape whose display surface includes a first region and a second region aligned in a longitudinal direction. In the first region, only an image that corresponds to a program that is specified as the main program is displayed. In the second region, images that correspond to sub-programs are displayed to be lined up in the longitudinal direction. The image includes an execution image of the program that is specified as the main program.

An EL display device of the present invention includes a plurality of pixel electrodes, wiring, a common electrode, a plurality of light-emitting layer portions, and a protective layer. The pixel electrodes are formed in one-to-one correspondence with a plurality of pixels. The wiring is formed in at least one of a plurality of intervals between the pixels. The common electrode is formed above each of the pixel electrodes and is in electrical connection with the wiring. The common electrode is made of alkali metal or alkaline earth metal. The light-emitting layer portions are each located between a corresponding one of the pixel electrodes and the common electrode. The protective layer is located on the common electrode, preventing oxidization thereof. The EL display device suppresses voltage drop in the common electrode, while also suppressing reduction in a property of electron injection to the light-emitting layer portions.

EL display device and method for manufacturing same

An information input/display device including: a sensor detecting contact and outputting contact positions; a display unit displaying video signals each corresponding to one screen; a first drawing unit generating first video signals each corresponding to one screen, when displayed, that includes an image of a drawing of a continuous line formed by the contact positions; a second drawing unit generating second video signals each corresponding to an image of the drawing of the continuous line, the second drawing unit generating images of the drawing of the continuous line at a higher speed than the first drawing unit; and an adding unit adding each of the second video signals to a corresponding one of the first video signals. Images of the drawing of the continuous line generated by at least one of the first drawing unit and the second drawing unit change as time elapses in drawing processing.

A method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting element is provided. A first layer is formed above a substrate, and exhibits hole injection properties. A bank material layer is formed above the first layer using a bank material. Banks are formed by patterning the bank material layer, and forming a resin film on a surface of the first layer by attaching a portion of the bank material layer to the first layer. The banks define apertures corresponding to light-emitters. The resin material is the same as the bank material. A functional layer is formed by applying ink to the apertures that contacts the resin film. The ink contains an organic material. The functional layer includes an organic light-emitting layer. A second layer is formed above the functional layer and exhibits electron injection properties. The hole injection properties of the first layer are degraded by applying electrical power to an element structure.

Method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting element, organic light-emitting element, display panel, and display device

EL display device with long lifetime for electrons being injected into a light-emission layer at a high rate, and method of manufacturing the EL display device are provided. The EL display device includes: base; pixel electrode on the base; auxiliary wiring on the base, the auxiliary wiring not overlapping with the pixel electrode; light-emission layer above the pixel electrode; charge transport layer above the auxiliary wiring and the pixel electrode, the charge transport layer continuously extending over the auxiliary wiring and the pixel electrode; and common electrode on the charge transport layer, the common electrode continuously extending over the auxiliary wiring and connected with the auxiliary wiring. The common electrode includes at least one metal selected from a group consisting of alkali metals and alkaline-earth metals.

EL display apparatus and manufacturing method thereof

To provide a device whose life is less likely to be reduced by deterioration of a light-emitting layer material, an EL display device includes: a pixel electrode, for each pixel, above a substrate; auxiliary wiring in a different region, above the substrate, from the pixel electrode; a transition metal oxide layer on the pixel electrode and the auxiliary wiring; a light-emitting layer in a region, above the transition metal oxide layer, corresponding to the pixel; a common electrode continuously above the auxiliary wiring and the light-emitting layer, and electrically connected to the auxiliary wiring; and a material deterioration suppressing layer continuously on a portion of the transition metal oxide layer above the auxiliary wiring and the light-emitting layer, mainly containing barium, and having a thickness equal to or greater than a size of a single barium atom and smaller than 10 nm.

A functional layer is formed by applying ink to the apertures that contacts the resin film. The ink contains an organic material. The functional layer includes an organic light-emitting layer. A second layer is formed above the functional layer and exhibits electron injection properties. The hole injection properties of the first layer are then degraded by applying electrical power to an element structure.

A light-emitting element that has an improved light-extraction efficiency and an improved color purity of an emitted light. A light-emitting element includes a reflective electrode, a transparent electrode, a light-emitting layer, a functional layer, and a color filter. An optical film thickness of the functional layer is from approximately 218 nm to approximately 238 nm for a light emitting element that emits a blue light. An optical film thickness of the functional layer is from approximately 384 nm to approximately 400 nm for a light emitting element that emits a red light.
