An ON/OFF detecting buckle switch includes: a case in a housing shape; a substrate fixing member equipped in an inner side face of the case; a slider insertion port equipped in an upper face of the case; a support portion equipped in an inner side face of the case; a first fixed terminal folded stepwise in a longitudinal direction of a strip shape to circumvent the substrate fixing member, having one end provided with a notched portion and the other end fixed to the inner side face of the case; a first movable terminal in a strip shape having one area fixed to the support portion; a slider provided with a terminal press portion that projects inside the case penetrating through the slider insertion port and the notched portion, and when pressed down, presses down an end of the first movable terminal; and a spring that biases the slider upward.

An ON/OFF detecting buckle switch includes: a case in a housing shape; a slider insertion port equipped in an upper face of the case; a support portion equipped in an inner side face of the case; a fixed terminal provided with a notched portion in one end in a strip shape and the other end fixed to the inner side face of the case; a movable terminal in a strip shape having one area fixed to the support portion; a slider provided with a terminal press portion that projects inside the case penetrating through the slider insertion port of the case and the notched portion of the fixed terminal, and when pressed down, presses down an end of the movable terminal; a spring that biases the slider upward; and bent portions in a hook shape in the notched portion of the fixed terminal and an end of the movable terminal.

Herein disclosed is a method for preparing a nuclear-substituted salicylic acid or a metal salt thereof represented by the following general formula (1): ##STR1## [wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a t-butyl group, a t-amyl group, a t-octyl group, an isononyl group or an isododecyl group, provided that at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represents an isononyl group or an isododecyl group; M represents a hydrogen atom or a metal atom; and n is the atomic valency of the metal atom M] which comprises the step of subjecting, to a Kolbe-Schmitt reaction, an alkali metal salt of a nuclear-substituted phenol represented by the following general formula (2): ##STR2## [wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same as those defined above] in which 100 to 50% of the alkali metal salt is potassium salt and 0 to 50% thereof is sodium salt, in a substantially water-insoluble solvent as a reaction medium. The method makes it possible to improve the yield of the specific nuclear-substituted salicylic acid and metal salts thereof and to provide such products having high purity without any post-treatment. The compounds can be used in color developers for pressure-sensitive recording sheets without any additional purification treatment.

Color developer for pressure-sensitive recording sheets

A developer comprising at least one polyvalent metal salt of a nuclear substituted salicylic acid of the following general formula is provided. ##STR1## In the formula, R.sub.1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group provided that at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is a secondary butyl group, a secondary hexyl group, an isohexyl group, a secondary octyl group, an isononyl group, a secondary decyl group, a secondary dodecyl group or an isododecyl group and the total number of the carbon atoms in R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is from 9 to 18, M is a polyvalent metal atom, and m is a valence of M. A heat sensitive recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer thereon incorporating a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor reactive with the dye to form a color when contacted therewith, the recording material being characterized in that, as the color acceptor is used at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropyloxydiphenylsulfone, 4,4'-(1,3-dimethylbutylidene) bisphenol, 4,4'-(1-phenylethylidene)bisphenol, 4,4'-(p-phenylenediisopropylidene)bisphenol and 4,4'-(m-phenylenediisopropylidene) bisphenol, and to the recording layer is added at least one of a heat-fusible substance represented by the formula [I] ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen atom, halogen atom, C.sub.1.about.4 alkyl or C.sub.1.about.4 alkoxy.

In a heat-sensitive recording material incorporating a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color acceptor which is reactive with the basic dye to form a color when contacted therewith, the recording material characterized in that at least one compound represented by the formula [I] is contained in a heat-sensitive recording layer ##STR1## wherein X is --O-- or --COO--, R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 are each hydrogen atom, alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, aralkyl having 7 to 9 carbon atoms, chlorine atom, acetyl, propionyl, methoxy, methylthio, methoxycarbonyl, cyano, nitro or cyclohexenyl, substituents R.sub.1 and/or R.sub.2 or substituents R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may link together to form aromatic ring(s), n is an integer of 1 to 10.

In a heat-sensitive recording material incorporating a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color acceptor which is reactive with the dye to form a color when contacted therewith, the recording material characterized in that the color acceptor comprises at least one compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a hydrogen atom, alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl, provided that R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, as well as R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, are not hydrogen at the same time.
