The pressure chamber communicates with the nozzle and contains the liquid. The piezoelectric element changes a pressure in the pressure chamber in response to an input of a drive signal. The count processing portion counts a number of times that an electric signal output from the piezoelectric element and corresponding to vibration generated in the pressure chamber in response to the input of the drive signal to the piezoelectric element exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The detection processing portion detects a viscosity of the liquid contained in the pressure chamber, based on a count result of the count processing portion.

The output processing portion causes the piezoelectric element to output a first electric signal corresponding to vibration generated in the pressure chamber in response to the input of the drive signal to the piezoelectric element. The determination processing portion determines whether or not the pressure chamber is in a filled state in which the pressure chamber is filled with the liquid, based on a frequency of the first electric signal output by the output processing portion.

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a nozzle, a pressure chamber, a piezoelectric element, an acquisition processing portion, and a restriction processing portion. The nozzle ejects a liquid. The pressure chamber communicates with the nozzle and contains the liquid. The piezoelectric element changes a pressure in the pressure chamber in response to an input of a drive signal. When image formation processing for ejecting the liquid from the nozzle is executed based on image data, the acquisition processing portion acquires a length of a non-ejection period in which the liquid is not ejected from the nozzle, the non-ejection period being included in an execution period of the image formation processing. When the length of the non-ejection period acquired by the acquisition processing portion is less than a predetermined first threshold value, the restriction processing portion restricts abnormality detection processing for detecting an abnormality of the nozzle using the piezoelectric element.

A screw compressor includes a screw rotor having a plurality of helical grooves, a first rotor configured to mesh with the helical grooves of the screw rotor, a second rotor configured to mesh with the helical grooves of the screw rotor, and a casing having a partition wall rotatably retaining the screw rotor and covering an outer peripheral surface of the screw rotor. The partition wall includes first and second envelope portions to form first and second compression chambers. The first compression chamber compresses a fluid introduced into the casing with a suction pressure to an intermediate pressure higher than the suction pressure. The second compression chamber compresses the fluid with the intermediate pressure to a discharge pressure higher than the intermediate pressure.

The auto-sampler for chromatographs includes a needle for sampling configured to move while a tip end thereof faces vertically downward; a switching valve having a plurality of ports to which channels constituting a chromatograph are connected, the switching valve switching between port connecting conditions to switch between channel configurations; and an injection port including an opening at an upper surface thereof through which a tip end of the needle is inserted to make the needle fluidically communicate with a pipe connected to one port of the switching valve, and a needle seal configured to get into contact with an outer circumferential surface of the tip end portion to make the needle fluidically communicate with the pipe in a liquid-tight manner when the tip end of the needle is inserted through the opening.

A cell picking device includes a stage, a sucker, a driver, a work content receiver, a registrar and a device controller. A sample container is placed on the stage. The driver is provided to execute sample scraping work and sample sucking work using a pipette tip attached to the sucker. In a case in which selection of work contents of the driver is received by the work content receiver, a work procedure including the received work contents of the driver is registered by the registrar. The work of the driver is controlled by the device controller in accordance with the registered work procedure.

Cell picking device

The auto-sampler for chromatographs includes a sampling needle, a pipe, a pump portion, and a connecting mechanism configured to connect the sampling needle and the pipe. The connecting mechanism includes a first component fixed to the sampling needle, a second component fixed to the pipe, a fixing component, and a packing. The fixing component fixes the first component and the second component using screwing of screws while the end surface of the sampling needle and the end surface of the pipe are in contact with the packing. As a result, dead volume at the connecting portion between the sampling needle and the pipe is reduced.

An automatic sample introduction device includes a needle, a sample loop, a mixer and a suction injection switch mechanism. The mixer is provided between the needle and the sample loop. The suction injection switch mechanism sequentially sucks first and second fluids into the sample loop through the needle and the mixer and injects the first and second fluids held in the sample loop into a predetermined injection port. A chromatograph includes the automatic sample introduction device having the above-mentioned configuration, an analysis column and a detector. The analysis column is connected to the injection port of the automatic sample introduction device, and the detector is connected to the analysis column.

An autosampler includes a retention path for injecting a sample into a mobile phase that flows through an analysis path to a column, the retention path including a needle at a downstream end and holding the sample, an injection path including a port at an upstream end for injecting into the analysis path, the sample injected from the needle into the port, a low-pressure path having an upstream end connected to a pump, and a valve that can switch between a first state in which an upstream analysis path and a downstream analysis path are connected and a downstream end of the low-pressure path and an upstream end of the retention path are connected and a second state in which the upstream analysis path and the upstream end of the retention path are connected and the downstream end of the injection path and the downstream analysis path are connected.

Chromatograph and sample injection apparatus

A screw compressor includes a screw rotor, a gate rotor, and a speed adjuster. The screw rotor has an outer peripheral surface with a plurality of screw grooves. The screw rotor is configured to be rotated. The gate rotor has a plurality of teeth. A ratio T/S of a number T of the teeth to a total number S of the screw grooves is greater than or equal to 2.5. The gate rotor meshes with the screw rotor. The speed adjuster is configured to adjust a rotational speed of the screw rotor. Rotation of the screw rotor at an angle greater than 180° allows the screw compressor to perform a stroke from start of compression to completion of discharge.

An autosampler includes an injection port for supplying a sample to an analysis device, a needle that collects the sample stored in a vial and injects the sample into the injection port, a cleaning unit that cleans the needle and a gas exhaust fan. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning container which stores a cleaning liquid and into which the needle is inserted, and a unit main body that has a space for storing the cleaning container and receiving the cleaning liquid overflowing from the cleaning container, and a unit gas exhaust passage for exhausting gas in the space outwardly of the cleaning unit. The unit main body has a unit opening through which the needle passes when accessing the cleaning container. The autosampler includes a boundary portion that separates a first region in which the injection port, the needle and the unit opening are arranged from a second region in which the gas exhaust fan is arranged, and a gas exhaust region which is connected to the unit gas exhaust passage via a gas exhaust opening provided at the boundary portion and into which gas exhausted from the space flows due to a negative pressure generated by the gas exhaust fan.

A centrifugal separation type oil separator includes an oil separator body having a cylindrical body portion, and a bent pipe provided on an outer peripheral side of the body portion to surround the body portion in a circumferential direction, to introduce a fluid containing an oil into the oil separator body. The bent pipe includes an outer wall portion extending in the circumferential direction of the body portion and expanding radially outward from the body portion, and an inner wall portion extending along the outer wall portion and blocking an open part of the outer wall portion. The outer wall portion and the inner wall portion are formed by different members. An upper side of the body portion is open. The oil separator body has an upper cover blocking an open portion of the body portion. The inner wall portion and the upper cover are formed by an integral member.

Centrifugal separation-type oil separator

A screw compressor includes a screw rotor having a plurality of screw grooves, a plurality of gate rotors each including gates that mesh with the screw rotor, and a casing. The screw rotor is rotatably inserted in the casing. The casing has a cylindrical wall through which the gates pass. The screw compressor has a plurality of compression chambers inside the cylindrical wall. The plurality of compression chambers are defined by the screw rotor and the gates. The compression chambers include a first compression chamber and a second compression chamber. A fluid introduced into the casing at a suction pressure is compressed to an intermediate pressure higher than the suction pressure in the first compression chamber. The fluid at the intermediate pressure is compressed to a discharge pressure higher than the intermediate pressure in the second compression chamber.
