A method for displaying aerial images includes detecting a capacitive response of a non-contact gesture made by a user proximate to a touch sensing enabled display screen, and in response to detecting the non-contact gesture, displaying one or more images in a three-dimensional (3D) space proximate to the display screen.

An elastic composite film provided with a sintered ePTFE film and an elastomeric resin layer, produced by continuously forming the elastomeric resin layer on at least one side of the sintered ePTFE film, continuously elongating the resulting multilayer film at less than the yield point of the expanded, sintered, porous film and at an elongation factor of 1.3 times or more in the biaxial directions, or in the uniaxial direction without contracting in the direction perpendicular to the direction of elongation, and relaxing the resulting elongated multilayer film, wherein when the composite film is elongated by 10% in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction, the tensile stress of the composite film is 2.5 N/15 mm or less, and/or the elongation percentage of the composite film in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction is 30% or more and the elongation recovery rate is 70% or more.

Elastic composite film and composite fabric and production processes thereof

A stretch composite fabric comprises a sintered expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film and a stretch cloth laminated to each other while maintaining a flat state. The stretch composite fabric has a tensile stress at 10% elongation, as measured in at least one direction, of 1.8 N/15 mm or less. When a 5 cm-width test piece of the stretch composite fabric is stretched in a length direction under a load of 300 g and then released from the stress, an elongation recovery R of the stretch composite fabric, which is given by the following equation, is preferably 70% or more. R=(L2&#x2212;L3)/(L2&#x2212;L1)&#xd7;100 (In the equation, L1, L2, and L3 represent the lengths of the composite fabric before the load is applied, when the load is applied, and after the load is removed, respectively.)

Stretch composite fabric and expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film

A moisture-permeable separating membrane material includes a porous fluororesin membrane, a continuous moisture-permeable resin layer formed on the surface of the porous fluororesin membrane, and a textile layer for reinforcing the porous fluororesin membrane and the continuous moisture-permeable resin layer. The textile layer contains a flame retardant in the inside of each fiber and the surface of each fiber has been treated with a flame retardant. The moisture-permeable separating membrane material makes it possible to improve flame retardancy without deteriorating heat exchange characteristics.

A molded product including a film bonded to a resin frame is produced by a method including: 1) reinforcing the film with a solvent-soluble or solvent-disintegrable reinforcing layer; 2) inserting the reinforced film in an injection mold; 3) feeding a resin to the mold to attach a frame body to the reinforced film while injection molding the resin frame; and 4) treating the resulting injection molded product with a solvent to remove the reinforcing layer. This production process can establish a technique capable of bonding (integrally molding) the film solely to the frame body, regardless of the size of the film. The film may preferably be an expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film, and the moisture-permeable resin may preferably be combined with the expanded porous polytetrafluoroethylene film.

The system for collection and transmission of road traffic information comprises a lens system installed on a tall structure such as on the roof of a building and angled vertically or diagonally to include in its field of view a road area subjected to observation and a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements disposed on the focal plane of the lens system along the image of the road area to be formed on the focal plane. The plurality of photoelectric conversion elements are formed in shapes successively decreased in width and length in conformity with the perspective view of the road area formed on the focal plane of the lens system. This system operates on the principle that when a vehicle enters the road area under observation by this system, it causes a change in the brightness of the image of the road area formed on the focal plane of the lens system, the changed brightness of the image induces a corresponding change in the outputs of the photoelectric conversion elements, and the resultant change in the outputs on being processed by scanning gives rise to a series of pulse signals, which are transmitted to a traffic control center.
