A mobile terminal device includes a recording setting unit configured to set a programmed recording based on an input of programmed-recording information that is used for performing programmed recording of a broadcast program, a reception-state checking unit configured to start a tuner at a predetermined time before a recording start time set by the recording setting unit and continuously checking a reception state of broadcast radio waves until the recording start time, a notifying unit configured to notify, if the reception-state checking unit determines that the reception state of the broadcast radio waves is not a desired reception state, a notification indicating so, and a recording starting unit configured to start recording processing of the broadcast program if the reception-state checking unit determines that the reception state of the broadcast radio waves is the desired reception state.

Mobile terminal device

A controller of a mobile communication apparatus, such as a cellular phone, that determines whether a received email is urgent by comparing words and phrases contained in the received email with keywords and phrases in a database. The controller generates notice information, such as an icon, when the received email is determined to be urgent, so that a user can recognize that there is an email whose sender wants to contact the user. When the notice information is selected by manipulating a key input device, the controller makes a communication with the sender of the received email.

Color densities of patches included in a control strip are measured to perform printing control based on the color densities. The patches are arranged in the same direction as the arrangement of ink keys of a printing device. The patches include four typical patches of black, cyan, magenta, and yellow at area rates of 60 to 85% in the width of each ink key. The printing control is the control for keeping the color densities of the four typical patches of the width of each ink key in predetermined color-density ranges.
