A reading apparatus includes a synchronizing signal output unit, a first imaging unit, a second imaging unit, an acquisition unit, and a transmission unit. The synchronizing signal output unit outputs a synchronizing signal. The first imaging unit images a read target at an imaging position from a first direction in synchronism with the synchronizing signal. The second imaging unit images the read target at the imaging position from a second direction in synchronism with the synchronizing signal. The acquisition unit acquires a first image of the read target captured by the first imaging unit in synchronism with the synchronizing signal, and a second image of the read target captured by the second imaging unit in synchronism with the synchronizing signal. The transmission unit correlates the first image and the second image, and transmits the correlated first image and second image.

Reading apparatus and reading method

In an embodiment, a code reading device reads a code from an image of a product. The code reading device determines whether or not a label displaying price change information is affixed to the product. If the label is not affixed to the product, the code reading device outputs the code to a processing device. If the label is affixed to the product, the code reading device transmits an image of the product to an image recognition server. The code reading device outputs the price change information recognized by the image recognition server to the processing device together with the code.

A time management system includes a terminal, a server, and a calculation unit. The terminal moves with the vehicle using the berth. The server connects the terminal via a network. The calculation unit calculates an estimated arrival time when the vehicle moving arrives at the berth based on position information. The server allocates a usage time of using the berth by the vehicle arriving at the berth at the estimated arrival time based on the estimated arrival time calculated by the calculation unit and a vacancy situation of the berth, and notifies the terminal moving together with the vehicle of the usage time allocated by the allocation unit. The terminal includes an output unit that the usage time notified from the server.

A tracking device includes an interface connectable to cameras, each acquiring an image and determining an object location within the image, a distance therefrom, and a time; a memory storing first coordinates indicating a camera location with respect to a reference point in a facility, and a first direction towards which each camera faces; and a processor, upon receipt of the location, the distance, and the time, calculating a second direction from the camera to the object, calculating second coordinates indicating an object location with respect to the camera location, calculating and storing with the time third coordinates indicating an object location with respect to the reference point. When locations calculated from the images acquired by the first and second cameras are associated with the same time, the processor calculates a distance therebetween, and when the distance falls within a predetermined range, recalculates the object location based on the locations.

A keyboard is disposed on a front side of an upper surface of a housing and a display unit is disposed on a rear side of the housing upper surface. The housing houses therein a printer mechanics unit at a position just under the keyboard. The housing houses therein a control board on a back side of the display unit, the control board carrying a microcomputer thereon. The housing further houses therein a roll paper receptacle portion at a position just under the display unit and the control board, the roll paper receptacle portion accommodating removablely roll paper to be fed to the printer mechanics unit. A thermal transfer type color printer of this invention has four ink ribbons sequentially arranged from a first order to a fourth order along a conveying direction of a printing medium, and four printing heads respectively arranged in accordance with the four ink ribbons. Each of the printing heads melts and transfers ink included in each of the ink ribbons to the printing medium by heating the ink ribbons while each of the ink ribbons comes in contact with the printing medium. While the printing medium is conveyed, the ink of each of the ink ribbons is transferred to the printing medium so that a color image is formed. In this color printer, a melting viscosity of the ink of an ink ribbon used at a later stage is set to be lower than that used at a previous stage.

A color printer includes a plurality of platens arranged on paper feeding path to feed paper on which a plurality of printing areas are arranged in series, a plurality of print heads arranged on the feeding path to face the platens to print data on the same printing areas of the paper fed on the feeding path, a feeding roller for feeding, to the print heads, the paper along the feeding path, a front-edge sensing section disposed between the feeding roller and a print head nearest the feeding roller to detect that the paper has been positioned at a printing start position, and a plurality of head lift mechanisms for setting the print heads from the platens to a standby position apart from the platens before the paper is fed to the printing start position and to a contact position at which the print heads come in contact with the platens after the paper has been fed to the printing start position. Particularly, the color printer has an engine controller for sequentially driving the head lift mechanisms to set the print heads to the contact position when the front edge of the paper has reached positions slightly advanced over the print heads.
