Hydrogen operated power system

A paddle is connected to an electricity supplying apparatus by a cable. The paddle is inserted into a receptacle located in a vehicle for charging a battery in the vehicle. A container, which is made of conductive resin, is located in the paddle to surround lines separated from the cable. Conductive plating layers are formed on the inner surface of the container. Noise radiated from the lines is absorbed by the plating layers and converted into a noise current. The noise current is conducted to a grounding member of the electricity supplying apparatus through a shield located in the cable. The noise current is also conducted to a grounding member of the vehicle through the receptacle. The plating layers permit the noise current to smoothly flow.

Charging paddle

An electromagnetic induction type charging device for charging a battery device has a charging paddle and a receptacle. The charging paddle has an infrared communication apparatus for communicating between the paddle and the receptacle. The housing of the charging paddle is made of a material that transmits infrared waves.

Inductive charger coupling for electric vehicles

An inductive charger coupling for charging a battery. The coupling includes a charging paddle and a charging receptacle. The paddle is connected to an external power source and includes a primary core and a primary coil. The receptacle is connected to the battery and includes a secondary core, a secondary coil and a housing. The housing accommodates the secondary core and the secondary coil. When charging the battery, the paddle is inserted in the receptacle. The housing conforms to the secondary core and the secondary coil and has radiator fins on its outer surface. The housing and the fins reduce the size of the coupling while improving the cooling efficiency.

Cooling structure for inductive charger coupling

An apparatus for charging a battery of an electrically powered vehicle located at a charging station is provided. The apparatus comprises a pair of separate primary cores each of which has a primary coil and is disposed in a wheel stop block secured at the battery charging station, and a secondary coil which is carried by the vehicle. The apparatus further includes a first drive mechanism for retractably lowering the secondary coil linearly to its operative positions, and a second drive mechanism for retractably moving the primary cores inwardly toward each other linearly to their operative position where a closed magnetic circuit is formed thereby and the primary coil is inductively coupled with the secondary coil which is then placed in its operative position. Each primary core has a projection which is engageable with a counterpart of the other core, and the engaged projections of the cores are arranged to pass through an opening of a secondary coil case round which opening the secondary coil is wound.
