A gas turbine includes a turbine rotor, a turbine, and a diffuser defining an exhaust gas flow path. The diffuser has an inner cylinder, an outer cylinder defining the exhaust gas flow path between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder, and a strut which connects the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder in a radial direction. The outer cylinder has an inclined surface extending outward in the radial direction from an inlet of the exhaust gas flow path toward an outlet of the exhaust gas flow path in an axial direction. The inclined surface defines an angle of° to° with an axis of the turbine rotor.

A radio receiver having a frequency converter which frequency converts an RF signal into an IF signal. An IF filter filters the IF signal to provide the filtered output to a frequency discriminator. The discriminator frequency discriminates the filtered IF signal to produce a baseband signal. From the baseband signal, a voice signal is recovered and a data signal is extracted. Using the IF signal, a field detector detects an electromagnetic field strength of RF signal and outputs a signal detect signal when the field strength is higher than a predetermined level. A sync detector detects a sync signal in the extracted data signal and sync detect signals, a controller controls the bandwidth of IF filter so that the S/N ratio of the recovered voice signal is increased and the error rate of the extracted data signal is decreased. The signal detect signal may also be obtained by a noise detector which detects the level of a noise component extracted from the baseband signal and outputs the signal detect signal when the level of noise component is higher than the predetermined level. The frequency of the extracted noise component is positioned adjacent to the higher portion of the voice frequency band.

A radio signal receiving system has first and second signal receiving sections, the outputs of which are combined to provide a combined signal. The signal combiner has first and second input terminals for respectively receiving the outputs of the first and second receiving sections. First, second and third interlocking switches are interconnected so that, when two outputs are derived in a normal state, from the first and second receiving sections, the first and second switches are closed, with the third switch opened. When either of the first or second outputs is driven out of the normal state, the first or second switch receiving the normal signal and the third switch is closed, while the first or second switch, receiving the abnormal signal, is opened. This way, the remaining normal signal replaces the abnormal signal to maintain the impedance balance in the system.

Radio signal receiving system having means for selectively combining

A pilot signal transmission system is disclosed in which two terminal stations transmit signals including link monitoring pilot signals to each other directly or through a repeater station. The terminal stations include a pilot signal switching section responsive to a detection signal from a transmitting pilot detecting section for operating in such a manner that if the detection signal is normal it transmits the output of the pilot transmitting section to the transmitting section, while if the detection signal is abnormal it transmits the output of the filtering section to the transmitting section. In the case of a repeater station, up and down pilot switching sections are responsive to detection signals from the receiving pilot detecting sections for operating in such a manner that the pilot signals filtered by the pilot filtering sections may be either transmitted to the transmitting sections or interrupted, the receiving pilot signal being repeatered jointed with the demodulated signal from the receiving section if the detection signal is normal, while the receiving pilot signal for the opposite direction link being repeatered jointly with the demodulated signal from the receiving section if the detection signal is abnormal.
