A physiological state determination device determines a predetermined physiological state of a subject. The physiological state determination device includes a brain function activation information detection unit, a face change information acquisition unit, and a physiological state determination unit. The brain function activation information detection unit detects brain function activation information corresponding to a physiological state. The face change information acquisition unit acquires face change information indicating a time-series change in face data of a subject. The physiological state determination unit determines the predetermined physiological state of the subject based on the brain function activation information and the face change information.

Physiological state determination device

A mental illness determination device includes a face change information acquisition unit and a mental illness determination unit. The face change information acquisition unit is configured to acquire face change information indicating a time-series change in face data of a subject when emotional stimulation information for stimulating any sense or any combination of senses among an auditory sense, an olfactory sense, a gustatory sense, a tactile sense, and a somatic sensation of the subject to change emotion, and is divided into positive information for increasing comfort and negative information for decreasing comfort is provided to the subject. The mental illness determination unit is configured to determine a state of mental illness of the subject on the basis of the face change information.

An estimation device includes at least one of a facial skin temperature acquisition unit and a facial photographic image acquisition unit, and an evaluation unit. The facial skin temperature acquisition unit acquires, in time-series, facial skin temperature data of a facial surface of a subject to which brain function activation information is provided. The facial photographic image acquisition unit obtains, in time-series, facial photographic image data obtained by imaging the facial surface of the subject to which the brain function activation information is provided. The evaluation unit evaluates a degree of interest of the subject based on at least one of the facial skin temperature data acquired by the facial skin temperature acquisition unit and the facial surface photographic image data acquired by the facial surface photographic image data acquisition unit.

A physiological state determination system includes a CPU and a camera. The camera acquires a photographic image data of a time-series change in facial data of a subject to which brain function activation information that activates human brain function was provided. The blood circulation volume acquisition unit acquires photographic image data by imaging the facial surface in time-series. The brain activity estimation unit decomposes the facial skin temperature data and/or the facial blood circulation volume data into a plurality of components by singular value decomposition, principal component analysis, or independent component analysis, and the brain activity estimation unit estimating brain activity of the subject based on the plurality of components. The useful information presentation unit presents, to the subject, useful information related to an emotional or physical state based on the brain activity of the subject estimated by the brain activity estimation unit.
