A fixing device includes a first fixing member, a second fixing member, a pressing member, and a heating device. The first fixing member is in an ungrounded state and comes into contact with a toner image on a sheet. The second fixing member is arranged opposite the first fixing member. The pressing member presses the first fixing member against the second fixing member so as to form, at the contact portion between the first fixing member and the second fixing member, a nip portion through which the sheet passes. The heating device heats the first fixing member.

Fixing device and image forming apparatus provided therewith

A heater includes electrodes and heating element pieces. The electrodes energize the heating element pieces with electricity. The heating element pieces are connected to the electrodes and arranged through a gap portion in the heater in a main scanning direction. A ratio of a second surface area of the gap portion to a first surface area of the heating element pieces is 0&#x3c;(second surface area of the gap portion)/(first surface area of the heating element pieces)&#x2264;0.5.

A lubricating oil forms an oil film between the heater and an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt. A pressure roller driver rotates the pressure roller so that the lubricating oil causes the fixing belt to be out of contact with the heater.

The fixing device includes a cylindrical heated member and a heating part. The cylindrical heated member is long in a width direction of a sheet, and is supported in a rotatable manner with coming into contact with a fixing face of the sheet. The heating part is provided in an inner space of the heated member and heating an inner circumferential face of the heated member. The heating part includes a plurality of heaters disposed side by side in a longitudinal direction of the heated member; and a first temperature sensor measuring a first heater of the plurality of heaters or a heated area of the heated member heated by the first heater. The plurality of heaters and the first temperature sensor are connected in series by a first power supply line.

A fixing device includes a fixing belt, a heating portion, and a belt guide member. The heating portion heats the fixing belt. The belt guide member includes a guide portion and an engaging portion. The guide portion guides the fixing belt to move along a moving path. The engaging portion is provided to project from the guide portion outward in a width direction of the fixing belt, wherein the engaging portion is engaged with a connector at an engagement position that intersects with a plane that includes a center, in the width direction, of the connector attached to the heating portion in an attachment direction perpendicular to the width direction.

Fixing device capable of restricting electric connection state from becoming unstable, image forming apparatus

A fixing device includes a fixing belt, a heater, a pressure roller, a heater support member, and a restriction portion. The heater is in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt. An end portion of the heater in a width direction of the fixing belt is exposed to outside the fixing belt. The pressure roller is provided to face a contact surface of the heater across the fixing belt, the contact surface being in contact with the fixing belt, the pressure roller being pressed against the fixing belt. The heater support member supports the heater by being in contact with a surface of the heater opposite from the contact surface. The restriction portion restricts the contact surface from moving toward the pressure roller at outside the fixing belt in the width direction.

Fixing device capable of restricting heater from bending toward pressure roller, image forming apparatus

A fixing device includes a cylindrical rotatable fixing belt, a flat heater, a safety device, a heater holding part and a pressuring member. The flat heater has a plurality of heat generating parts. The safety device is arranged across two adjacent heat generating parts to interrupt power supply to the heat generating parts in a case where temperature reaches a threshold value. The heater holding part holds the flat heater so that the flat heater comes into contact with an inner circumference face of the fixing belt. The pressuring member sandwiches the fixing belt with the flat heater to form a pressuring area for sandwiching and conveying a sheet between the fixing belt and the pressuring roller.

A fixing device includes a cylindrical rotatable fixing belt, a flat heater, a heater holding part, a pressuring member, and a connector. In the flat heater, an electrode part, a feeder and a heat generating part are formed in the same face state. The heater holding part holds the flat heater so that the heat generating part faces to an inner circumference face of the fixing belt. The pressuring member sandwiches the fixing belt with the flat heater. The connector has a contacting portion coming into contact with the electrode part. The feeder has a portion arranged at a near side from the electrode part in an attaching direction of the connector. The heater holding part includes a protecting portion covering the portion of the feeder arranged at the near side from the electrode part.

A heating unit includes a circuit board, a plurality of heating parts, and a plurality of wiring parts. The heating parts are arranged in a first direction on a surface of the circuit board. The wiring parts are provided on the surface of the circuit board and electrically connect the heating parts and a power source to feed the heating parts. The wiring parts respectively include electrode terminal parts electrically connected to the power source outside the heating parts in the first direction. Sizes in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction of the heating parts are set to decrease gradually or stepwisely with separating in the first direction from the electrode terminal parts.

A heating unit includes a circuit board, heating parts, and electrode parts. The heating parts are arranged in a first direction on a surface of the circuit board. The electrode parts are disposed on the surface of the circuit board, and electrically connected to both sides of the heating parts in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction. Each of the heating parts includes a plurality of heating resistors that is arranged in the first direction. Each of the heating resistors has a size ratio of a first length in the second direction to a second length in the first direction is 1 or more and 100 or less.

A fixing device includes a fixing belt, a pressuring roller pressured to the fixing belt, a heat source heating the fixing belt, a pressing member pressing the fixing belt toward the pressuring roller's side, and a sliding contact sheet interposed between the fixing belt and the pressing member to hold lubricant. The sliding contact sheet includes a sliding contact portion arranged at the center in a sheet conveying direction to come into contact with the fixing belt, a first fixed portion arranged at an upstream side in the conveying direction and wound around the pressing member at the heat source's side, and a second fixed portion arranged at a downstream side in the conveying direction and wound around the pressing member at the heat source's side from the first fixed portion. The sliding contact sheet is configured so that the second fixed portion becomes smaller than the first fixed portion.

A fixing device includes a heating belt, a heat source, a pressuring body, a pressing member and a sheet member. The heating belt is endless and heats a medium while being circulated. The heat source supplies heat to the heating belt. The pressuring body forms a nip with the heating belt, rotates so as to circulate the heating belt and presses the medium with the heating belt. The pressing member is disposed inside the heating belt and presses the heating belt against the pressuring body at the nip. The sheet member is held between the heating belt and the pressing member, attached to the pressing member at a center side portion and both end side portions in a longitudinal direction of the sheet member and has a heat shrinkable property. The both end side portions are shiftable in the longitudinal direction greater than the center side portion.

A fixing device includes a heating body, a pressuring body, a temperature detecting part, a first frame supporting the heating body, a second frame supporting the pressuring body and a moving mechanism. The temperature detecting part has a detecting element detecting an infrared ray radiated from the heating body and detects temperature of the heating body by the detecting element. The first frame includes a heat interrupting member covering the heating body between the heating body and the temperature detecting part. The moving mechanism moves the first frame in an approaching direction or a separating direction from the second frame to establish the heating body and the pressuring body in a pressurization state or a depressurization state. The heat interrupting member includes an aperture elongated in a movement direction of the first frame to pass the infrared ray radiated from the heating body to the detecting element through the aperture.

A fixing device includes a fixing belt rotatably located around a rotation axis, a pressure member rotatably located, and a pressing member. The pressure member is brought into pressure contact with the fixing belt to form a fixing nip. The pressing member includes a pressing surface that presses the fixing belt toward a side of the pressure member. The pressing surface includes a plane surface portion extending along a conveyance direction of a recording medium, and a curved surface portion located at a downstream side of the plane surface portion in the conveyance direction of the recording medium. The curved surface portion is curved along an outer peripheral surface of the pressure member. The curved surface portion has a curvature radius larger than a curvature radius of the outer peripheral surface of the pressure member before a deformation in association with a formation of the fixing nip.
