A sensor attachment structure for a side part of a vehicle body includes: a side panel part facing substantially sideward; a rear panel part facing substantially rearward; a lower panel part facing substantially downward; a sensor attachment member to which a sensor configured to detect surrounding information on a lateral side of a vehicle is attached; a side joined member extending from the sensor attachment member toward the side panel part and joined to the side panel part; a rear joined member extending from the sensor attachment member toward the rear panel part and joined to the rear panel part; and a lower joined member extending from the sensor attachment member toward the lower panel part and joined to the lower panel part.

A vehicle body rear structure includes: a rear panel provided in a rear part of a vehicle body; a bumper beam attached to a structural member provided in the rear part of the vehicle body; a sensor holding member attached to the rear panel; and a sensor attached to the sensor holding member and configured to detect surrounding information on a rear side of a vehicle, wherein an entirety of the sensor is positioned more forward than a rear end of the bumper beam, lower than a lower end of the bumper beam, and higher than a departure angle face.

Disclosed is a bumper structure equipped with an inner plate () in a hollow section () formed by a bumper beam () and a safety plate (). The safety plate () comprises a top plate (), a bottom plate (), and a load input plate () connecting both. The inner plate () comprises a mounted section () that is mounted to the bumper beam (), a leg section () that continues from the mounted section () and extends downward, a back support section () that continues from the leg section () and is approximately parallel to the top plate (), and a load input flange () that continues from the back support section ().

Bumper structure for vehicle

A construction is provided for fastening a plurality of members which thermally expand and contract together to a base member with a screw member, in such a manner that those members do not interfere with each other when they thermally expand or contract. An interference that would otherwise be generated between a plurality of members to be fastened together when the respective members thermally expand and contract can be prevented with a simple construction by interposing an interference preventing spacer member between the respective members. The spacer member is positioned in a radial direction relative to a screw portion. With one member, the fastened portion where the members are fastened together functions as a reference point for absorbing the thermal expansion and contraction. With the other member, an elongate hole is used at this fastened portion for absorbing the thermal expansion and contraction. Accordingly, the single fastened portion allows fastening corresponding to the respective members. Moreover, since there is caused no looseness of the respective members, there is no risk of the aesthetic appearance of the members being damaged which are so fastened together to the base member.

A vehicle cooling structure comprises a bumper louver attached in an opening formed in a front bumper so as to open at a position facing a lower portion of a radiator in such a manner as to avoid a bumper beam, air duct plates formed integrally with the bumper louver in such a manner as to be inclined rearward, and left and right guide plates and a lower guide plate detachably attached to a front bulkhead for aggressively guiding running air introduced from the opening toward the radiator.

A vehicle front part structure includes right and left front side frames provided rightwardly and leftwardly of and extending longitudinally of a vehicle body. A front bumper beam is attached to front ends of the right and left front side frames and extends transversely of the vehicle body. The right and left substays have lower parts connected to each other through a front lower cross member. A hood or trunk lid is a blow-molded article and includes an outer skin and a stiffener integral with the outer skin. The stiffener has a tub-like molded portion which extends in a widthwise direction of a vehicle body and protrudes toward the outer skin. A ridge of the tub-like molded portion is spaced apart from the outer skin, so that the hood or trunk lid is folded from a start point provided by the tub-like molded portion by a shock force from a collision.

A vehicle body frame structure is comprised of plurality of loop-shaped members each formed by a hollow pieces extruded from a light alloy. Each loop-shaped member is polygonal in cross section. The vehicle body frame structure is partly formed by a plurality of such loop-shaped members joined sidewise together. Each loop-shaped member is comprised of at least two hollow extruded pieces joined together by a core coupling or a split muff coupling. Part of each loop-shaped member is stepped so that it can be joined with a companion loop-shaped member by mating the stepped portions of the two loop-shaped members one over the other.

In a space frame type vehicle body structure, a floor member has a side sill inner half securely attached along each side edge thereof, and a side frame has a side sill outer half securely attached along a lower edge thereof, and these two halves are provided with mutually cooperating snap fit arrangement. Because the floor member and the side frame are individually provided with a sufficient rigidity, and they can be temporarily secured each other simply by pushing them against each other, they can be welded together with a high dimensional precision without requiring any massive or complex clamping fixture.
