When a vehicle speed sensor is provided as a separate unit, the vehicle sensor should be removed when a vehicle wheel is changed. A brake caliper is fitted to an upper stay and a lower stay formed at a lower part of the front fork supporting the front wheel. The sensor stay is fitted to the inside of the lower stay in the vicinity of the brake caliper. A sensor cover is fastened integrally in an overlapping manner to the outside of the sensor stay. A projection formed on the sensor cover overlaps with a fitting bolt of the brake caliper. Thus, it is not possible to remove the brake caliper without first removing the sensor cover. Further, a vehicle speed sensor is sandwiched by the sensor stay and the lower end of the sensor cover and the three members are fastened together.

Speed sensor fitting structure

An air pressure detection device for a wheel includes an air pressure sensor provided on the side of a tire for detecting the tire pressure. A detection and transmission unit (transmission unit) is provided for transmitting information detected by the air pressure sensor. An electric cell is provided for driving the detection and transmission unit. The air pressure sensor is located inside the tire and is integrally fitted to an air valve. The electric cell is fitted to a portion of the air valve projecting from a rim. The invention enhances the fitting property of the air pressure sensor, and enhances the convenience in exchange of the electric cell.

Air pressure detection device for wheel

An air pressure detecting device for detecting the air pressure of a wheel of a vehicle which has a tire tube disposed in a tire. The air pressure detecting device is disposed between the tire tube and the rim of the wheel portion for detecting the air pressure of the tire. The air pressure detecting device includes an annular seat mounted in an opening defined in the tire tube. A lid member is removably fitted over the seat. A detecting and transmitting unit is integrally mounted in the lid member for detecting an air pressure in the tire tube and transmitting pressure information out of the detecting and transmitting unit. When the tire is to be replaced, the lid member is removed, and the detecting and transmitting unit is attached to a new tire for use.
