A multi-layer ceramic capacitor having a weight of 8 mg or more includes a capacitance forming unit and a protective unit. The capacitance forming unit includes internal electrodes that are laminated in a first direction and includes end portions, positions of the end portions in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction being aligned with one another within a range of 0.5 &#x3bc;m in the second direction. The protective unit covers the capacitance forming unit in the first direction and the second direction and includes an outer surface, a shortest distance between the outer surface and the end portion of an outermost layer in the internal electrodes in the first direction exceeding 10 &#x3bc;m.

Multi-layer ceramic capacitor

A vehicle cooling system includes a circulation flow path section which has a first flow path section and a second flow path section, and a solenoid valve which can switch between an open state in which the first flow path section and the second flow path section are connected and a closed state in which the first flow path section and the second flow path section are blocked. The circulation flow path section includes a valve body accommodating section configured to include a first accommodating section and a second accommodating section which connects the first flow path section and the second flow path section in the open state, and a connection flow path section whose one end is connected to the first flow path section. The other end of the connection flow path section opens to the first accommodating section.

An EGR device includes an EGR flow path, an EGR valve, a stepping motor, a motor driver, a return spring, a speed detector, and an opening degree estimator. The EGR flow path conveys exhaust gas from an exhaust flow path of an engine to an intake flow path. The EGR valve is disposed on the EGR flow path. The stepping motor drives the EGR valve to open to close. The motor driver supplies driving power to the stepping motor. The return spring urges the EGR valve in a valve closing direction. The speed detector detects an output shaft rotation speed of the engine. The opening degree estimator estimates an opening degree of the EGR valve. The motor driver changes a drive frequency of the stepping motor according to variations of the output shaft rotation speed detected by the speed detector and the opening degree estimated by the opening degree estimator.

EGR device

A ceramic electronic component includes a body, a first external electrode, and a second external electrode. The body includes a first end surface and a second end surface that face each other, surfaces each extending between the first end surface and the second end surface, an outer edge that is provided along the surfaces and includes recesses, the recesses extending from the first end surface and the second end surface along ridges of the surfaces, and a functional unit that is disposed inward relative to the outer edge. The first external electrode and the second external electrode respectively cover the first end surface and the second end surface and extend to come close to each other from the first end surface and the second end surface along the surfaces and the recesses.
