A curtain airbag device capable of preventing a cushion from damaging a front pillar trim or being caught by the front pillar trim upon deployed. A cushionof a curtain airbag deviceis inflated and deployed at a side wall of a vehicle interior to restrain an occupant. The curtain airbag deviceincludes: a cushionhaving a bag shape and inflated and deployed on the vehicle front side of a passenger seat; and a first strap. The first straphas one endattached to a front pillarand the other endattached on the vehicle inner side of the cushionin an elongate stored form. The first strapmoves to the vehicle inner side and is strained by inflation and deployment of the cushionpushing out a front pillar trimthat covers the front pillarto the vehicle inner side.

Curtain air-bag device

A vehicle air bag device in which gas leakage prevention is achieved via mounting of a bracket on an inflator. The vehicle air bag device includes an air bag that is formed integrally with an inflator insertion portion into which an inflator is inserted. The air bag device also includes a bracket that is formed to attach the inflator to a vehicle body side, and that includes an inflator side mounting portion mounted onto an outer side of the inflator insertion portion so as to partially cover the inflator insertion portion. A strip-form body surrounds and integrates the inflator side mounting portion and the inflator disposed in the inflator insertion portion.

Vehicle air bag device

A vehicle air bag device having an air bag that is formed integrally with an inflator insertion portion into which an inflator is inserted. The air bag device also includes a bracket that is formed to attach the inflator to a vehicle body side, and that includes an inflator side mounting portion mounted onto an outer side of the inflator insertion portion so as to partially cover the inflator insertion portion; a strip-form body that surrounds and integrates the inflator side mounting portion and the inflator disposed in the inflator insertion portion; and a seal portion that is formed on the inflator side mounting portion in alignment with the strip-form body.

A vehicle air bag device may include an air bag having an integrally formed inflator insertion portioninto which an inflatorfor discharging a gas is inserted. A bracket that is formed to attach the inflator to a vehicle body includes an inflator side mounting portionmounted onto an outer side of the inflator insertion portion so as to partially cover the inflator insertion portion partially. A strip-form bodyis disposed over and attaches the bracket, the inflator insertion portion, and the inflator such that the strip-form body. The strip-form body and the inflation insertion portion are displaced from each other by a step formed by the bracket, thereby forming a gap disposed between the strip-form body and said inflation insertion portion. A seal portion formed on the bracket is sealingly aligned with the strip-form body and seals the gap.

A curtain air bag device which allows a bag main body to expansively spread more quickly and reliably. A curtain air bag device comprises a bag main body received inside a head lining disposed on the window upper edge of a vehicle and designed to expansively spread from the lower end of the head lining toward the interior of the vehicle at the time of actuation; and a gas supply device for supplying expansion gas to the bag main body. The bag main body has a plurality of chambers which expand during operation; and a duct extending above the chambers along the window upper edge to distribute the gas to respective chambers. Further, the duct has an expansion region where the lower end is disposed lower than the lower end of the head lining during spreading.
